Roddick-Karlovic semis of Washington

In the semis of Washington two of the games greatest servers square off, Andy Roddick and Ivo Karlovic. Roddick fell at this stage last week in Indianapolis to the little know Dancevic, and would hope to avoid that fate for a 2nd straight week. Karlovic has been breaking serve a bit more often then before in some of his matches, but not vs anyone with the serve anything like Roddick's.

HILARIOUS game, Roddick was all getting pissed cuz he couldn't even get his racquet on Ivos serves ahah, man.....he did 151 mph serve tho, that was impressive.

I luv Ivo, he is one of not many good Serve and Volleyer's nowadays.

He didn´t predict on the Australian Open this time, that´s an advance.

Roddick played all right, better than his other matches. I think in the second set he returned pretty well Karlovic's bombs especially his second serves, and that backhand passing shot on the run in the second set tie break was wicked you could say it by the look on Karlovic's face after he got passed. What i really appreciated from Roddick is that he made so much efforts to find solutions how to return Karlovic. Other players would have given up.

Not a bad match. Andy kept it together very well today in the DC heat against a deadly opponent. He said he was lucky to win it in straights, but he kept himself in position to win with solid play on big points. Down a set point in the first, he played a great point and finished with a sweet low volley winner. And that nice running backhand pass in the 2nd set breaker was perfect.
