Ive got a bunch of aeropro drives and pure aero, All say 300g unstrung. One is 15g heavier than all others with same overgrip and same strings. Emailed babolat and got a response that it might be an Pure Aero Tour model with wrong paint job from factory, but this specific racket is the Aeropro drive cortex 2013. Was the Tour model of those rackets even produced back then?

If they were used, maybe check under the bumper guard for lead or anywhere else on the racquet. I've read that Babolat's QC has always been poor but 15g heavier in a racquet is waaaaaaaaay out of that range!

It was supposedly "new". I bought it in a tennis club shop in Sweden. Only checked the buttcap for any silicone but there was nothing in there. Will try to peek under the bumper guard next time i restring. All other rackets are within same range on my coke scale

My question key is the new or used?
Also...
If they are an authorized dealer, I would speak to them and either return it to them or ship it back to them. They should compensate you and help you out. Getting you frame that falls within the factory specs! That is why they exists....
You don't pay for other peoples mistakes.
Again I amusing they are an authorized dealer & the frames are new, if they are not....
Much tougher situation...

Also very surprised what Babolat told you, that does not sound right at all.

It wouldn’t be a surprise, considering the alpine ski business. There the WC team skiers have exactly the same paintwork on their skis as seen in the consumer shops selling to regular people, yet the skis are whole lot different, stiffer and thicker on she side.

It could be possible, the factory has had a team racket going out by mistake to the shipment to the shop in question.
