Serena will return to tennis for the Fed Cup in February

Well this is awesome news.

Serena will return to tennis after giving birth in September. Her first competitive tennis match will be the Fed Cup on February 10-11. Will be played on an indoor hard court in Asheville, North Carolina. Her sister Venus will also play.

Serena played an exhibition match against Ostapenko on December 30 where she lost in 3 sets. She then decided not to play the Australian Open and said "My coach and team always said, 'Only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way.' I can compete – but I don't want to just compete, I want to do far better than that and to do so, I will need a little more time. So she withdrew.

Anyway, now it looks like she's ready to return which is awesome

So glad that Serena is coming back so soon. I was thinking that her target might be Miami, this is much better. Adding Venus to the Fed Cup card and tickets will sell out in a hurry if they are not already sold out.
