Dude, really? What part of "Now let me very clear. I am not suggesting that Serena is in anyway receiving that kind of hate-filled junk that Aaron received; and I hope that she is not. But there are some parallels that can be drawn."do you need help with? I'm here for you!

heftylefty: "Yep, she (Serena) is the Hank Aaron of tennis."

Seems pretty clear. You've been backpedaling from that ignorant statement ever since.

Again, what is Serena whining about?
The Balls?
The Court surface
The need to a two year ranking system?
Why is the Year End is Indoors?
Why is Davis Cup Captain is a woman?

Google Nadal Whining. See what happens.

Apparently you've never actually watched Serena play? She whines constantly over poorly played shots. Hands in the air ,rolling eyes, mumbling to herself in disgust, slapping her thighs, sulking, pouting... that's considered whining in most people's book.

Ah, serene by name serene by nature. “In this town The Love That Dares Not Speak Its Name almost never shuts up .” — Armistead Maupin Tales of the City

What do you know about "the love that dares not speak its name"? Personal experience?

It's self criticism. It does look a bit over the top at times but at the end of the day it's directed toward herself. That's not whining. Some people are just like that. They expect so much of themselves that they get mad and yell at themselves when it's not going right. It's not everyone's cup of tea but she's not doing anything wrong.

Aka self coaching. She relies on herself.

I've seen Federer, Agassi, Hewitt (who has more deplorable on-court faults than that) and others curse when they wins points, or were frustrated at officials, etc. I've also witnessed the same mouthy acts from Capriati, Sharapova and others, but as always only Serena is guilty of everything. They want blood, so she must be the "worst" and isolated case of all that is wrong. Nevermind so many players do the same thing throughout tennis history.

True. If whining works... use it to your benefit, which Serena does. I just don't care for whiners. Andy Murray being the male equivalent of Serena when it comes to whiney behavior.

as always, the statement focus on your game and not on your opponent`s mannerisms, is as true as ever.

I'm not backpedading for jack. The fact you chose not to see the parallel doesn't move the needle for me. It obviously very painful for you that Serena could have more grand slam titles than any woman in the open era.

For some, it is not about "any woman," but one they have tried to turn into some sort of idol. Just another reason for that little grup to be filled with rage (that will soon not be able to be contained in the realm of words).
