Both agree that the top female player would be ranked outside Top 500 if they were to play on the men's tour. In fact, Murray thinks that the top female pro would be ranked No 1000 on the men's tour.

Serena wouldnt be ranked, she couldnt win an atp point. Getting your first point is very hard, she would have to win 4-5 matches unless she got a wc into the main draw.

I think someone did a utr thing in the uk and there were 2179 players there that would beat her.

Except he wasn't being precise. As has already been mentioned, in addition to American women, there have been other American men (Bryan Brothers, Sock) who've won Slams in doubles during that period (including Wimbledon) yet Andy strangely felt no need to mention that or correct the reporter there.

Come off it. No one cares about doubles in this context. Maybe you can conjure up a junior boy or junior girl whose existence Murray also should have mentioned.
