Should I improve my racquet drop ?

Hi, I recorded myself this afternoon and I noticed that my forehand and backhand lack of racquet drop. I was wondering if that's the reason why sometimes my shots are going a little bit longer.
Hope to get advices or points to work on, thank you in advance and sorry for the camera angle (I put my cellphone on the ground).

Yeah, need better video. Directly from behind and if you could get it 18” to 2’ off of the ground it would help. Let us know what forehand grip you are using also.

I have an older video recorded on the other side if that can be useful but still on the ground
For my forehand grip it's semi western.
I've been using a different frame this time (a lighter one).

All of the balls seem to go in, so I don’t want to mess anything up. You asked about racquet drop, so I will throw my .02 in. One of the things that causes racquet head drop is having your hand higher than the incoming ball. You should drop the hand a bit below the ball before coming forward. The lowering of the hand and coming forward, along with the striking face of the racquet opening up as you supinate the forearm (this happens right before heading to contact) drops the head. The pronating through contact (windshield wiper) creates spin allowing you to swing harder. Keep doing what you are doing, but get the elbow higher on backswing. That is a better way of thinking about it rather than thinking hand higher.

Thank you ballmachineguy that's a nice advice ! Next time I will try to lift up my elbow by using my left arm.
Don't worry about messing up my game, I feel like I'm in a "learning phase", for the past 6 months my game improved a lot.
Do you have any other recommandations regarding something else on my game ?

One step at a time. Just want to make sure you understood it was right elbow higher. Left hand can push you into unit turn and raise right hand higher, but, really, the only way to get elbow higher is to think about raising it. I guess it is the right shoulders job. Stay relaxed!

Alright, that's going to be my main focus next time thank you again ! I hope to get more spin and power this way to deliver some good shots.
I know that I should work on one thing at a time, still I was wondering what can I improve on my backhand just by curiosity ? (You seem to be a great analyser haha)

There are probably better two-hander gurus. I could never hit one that didn’t have the pace and spin that a piece of plywood where the strings should be couldn’t match. Would love to learn one just for the purpose of having the knowledge, but shattering the end of my radius on my non-dom side and it now being shorter than it should be left me with 1/2 it’s range of motion. Couldn’t get good at it now if I wanted to.
