six one 2012

so i currently play with the six one 95 18 by 20 and after 2/3 years of beating on my old rackets they are starting to feel dead. I still love my rackets and have had no problems with them besides they are super old and beat up...time for the new ones. Is there much of a difference between the 2012 version and the 2010? Pretty seamless transition for those of you have changed? which one do is better if you didn't think they were the same?

not in 2-3 years they dont, esp from club level player. I like how 2-3 years is "super old" lol. maybe op doesnt realize restringing is a possibility.

My Pro Staff 6.0 95 made in the 1990s is far from dead. It is a vampire racquet......

The new ones are updated with Amplifeel tech. What it is and how it works is absolutely irrelevant. You have to demo the new rackets to find out what you think.
I believe it's a general consensus that the Amplifeel rackets are somewhere in between BLX and K-factor with regards to plush vs crisp feel...

Do a search on the forums for BLX and Amplifeel and you should find some threads dealing with this very issue...


If you really like your old BLX's, look around for some rackets left in stock. You'll probably get them for half the price of the 2012 version. There's a reason pros don't like changes...

If you're a D1 player then you should already know if you're racquets are "dead" or not. I'm almost willing to bet you're not a D1 player, I'm a former DIII player and know weather or not my frame has died.
