Saw this vid on the Tennis Channel's coverage of 2018 USO, showing speed and height of Djok slice versus Fed slice.

Has anyone come across any other data like this, showing average BH slice speed and height after the bounce?

Fed's BH slice is 5 mph faster and stays 2" lower on the bounce, compared to Djok (2:30 in the video)

Good video. Del Po has shown that you can almost get away with just a slice backhand. He's hitting more two handers these days.

This is just a function of how much you vertical chop is applied to the ball

A more "driven" slice will be faster and bounce lower

Fed's slice bounces 13 inches at 60 mph. What a nightmare. Practically impossible to attack that.

Fed slice swing looks much different than Rosewall.
I think the senior players I encounter are hitting the Rosewall style. It feels like the ball is skidding 3 inches off the court. :(

Don't know any analysis or data.

Federer got beaten by Millman, who's gotten beaten with ease by Djokovic using a tons of very effective slices to set up for his kills. When you look at the points they played you can sense that there's nothing Millman could do to hurt Djokovic!
