I mean, I enjoyed seeing the two of them squaring off for the French final. As you said, a lot of history on the line. But for the WTF? I guess it would be important for either one to win (Nadal getting his first title, Djokovic tying Federer), but it just doesn’t have the same sense of occasion. And without that, I’d rather just see new blood.

Nadal being in the final would just be LOL, Thiem would be ok if he actually played well in it, Me(h)dvedev would be meh, and Djoker would have basically sleepwalked there. Let's go with Nadal-Thiem for a best possible outcome of LOL and ok. It does involve Nadal winning another tennis match though, plus an opportunity for a second, which I'll admit is difficult to tolerate as a necessary set of circumstances.
