Solinco confidential guage recommendation

Currently play hyper g 1.25 in a pure aero and was looking to switch to confidential for a more controlled string. Have tried confidential in distant past at 1.25 but felt that it lacked bite.

Curious if anyone tried it in more thinner guages and have any experience to share?

Actually, Confidential is pretty much the only poly I really like in 1.20 gauge. Tried others in this gauge (rpm blast, ptp, TB, HyperG, - I didńt like them at all except the first 2 hours, maybe hawk in 1.20 played solid for the entire time but that string just didn't feel right to me).
Confidential in 1.20 actually plays amazing even for 6-7 hours (I break it at 7-8th hour on clay). I remember I played my best tennis yet with this string strung at 23.5/23 in a PD18
(I have too many reels of other strings but I will come back to it one day)

Regarding thinner gauges.

Drop 1 gaugge I typically add 2 lbs tension
Keep the same tension and get more power and spin.
Add 2 lbs to keep the same power but still add some spin.

If you broke 1.25 you will break 1.20 even faster otherwise you might enjoy 1.20

Thank you @Tronco20 and @gold325 . I have ordered the 1.20 and will try to string it at 52lbs instead of my usual 50lbs and see how it goes.

I also think the Confidential is slightly lower power than HyG so I would retain 50 (or even do 48) to keep (or exceed) the spin and power to HyG levels since that was your primary goal.

Agreed HypeG has a bit more pop. maybe split the difference @ 51?

Yeap, at about 5 hours you have to brush so fast in order to keep the ball inside. It really becomes a rocket launcher, this is not happening with hyper g though.

I use Confidential on a Head Gravity Pro (315g) at 50 pounds. It always keeps its control in that setup.

Confidential 16L (1.25) @ 40lbs for me in my Whiteouts. No control issues and it feels great.
