HEY! Says their rackets have POWER AND CONTROL!!! Well, FINALLY!!! Why hasn't another company used that marketing approach?!?!? ;)

Actually, if they saw how I abuse their golf balls, they might GIVE me rackets just to stay OFF the course! :)

Volkl have used this long before ... ;)

Ahh, but did Volkl have a cutie like Kurumi-chan on their web page?

The prices are the usual Japanese outrage, but they look nice – the white one especially. The weights run up to 320 unstrung, so they might be good customization platforms too.

Have you guys ever heard of these cool racquets?

I just bought the Srixon flat beam X 2.0 and it is a special racquet. Feels more like a piece of your arm than, anything i have hit with in awhile.
I liked it from the start but, i had to add lead at 3&9 to bring it up to scratch.
I also will drop the string tension next time i have it strung.

I was @ Open qualifying today & saw a female player in the distance carrying a Srixon bag. I wish I ran after her!

A long time ago, SUMITOMO RUBBER INDUSTRIES bought Dunlop tire(takeover).
But it didn't get all rights for sports division.
Some rights were sold to other companies.

Since this time, It have produced Dunlop named racket by itself and
sold only in Japan, Korea, Taiwan.
It have no right to sell Dunlop brand sports goods to other countries except for above mentioned countries.
There are a lot of Dunlop rackets in Japan which other countries people don't know.

Srixon is, so to speak, Japanese Dunlop name is changed.

I have no idea why it changed brand name from Dunlop to Srixon.
To sell one to other countries?

Srixon is the Japanese face of Dunlop....

But Dunlop frames are still sold. As well as being the distributors of Babolat in Japan. That is why you see the two stripes under the Dunlop, or Srixon stencil on frames in Japan...

Problem with Srixon is when you say it you sound like you have a speech impediment.

As for Babolat, world Dunlop, Sri sports Limited(subsidiary of Sumitomo rubber industries)is an agency in Japan.

As for stripes, I don't Know? It may show that it have no intention to sell srixon model to other countries, it may want to sell as world model is Dunlop brand, domestic model is Srixon brand.

Look above mentioned site, Daiaclsster series is domestic model.
After Srixon model was launched, it became bargain sell.(50% off)
Both of them are very similar. It don't need to sell both of them.
(Now selling is stock).

If I have free time, I will send an e-mail to Sri Sports, ask why you don't sell Srixon model in U.S.A.

I don't think these models will be sold well in U.S.A, due to deep depression.

As far as I am aware, Srixon is known as golf brand in the US & the UK. Maybe its their intention to sell the Srixon racquets in Japan only as part of the deal with Dunlop Worldwide. Just a guess!

Zarina Diyas was using Srixon in her US-televised evening match tonight against CiCi Bellis at USO r2. Good exposure for Srixon tennis, although it's not clear what that's worth if they don't sell in the US.

It is simply Dunlop (a rented name to begin with these days). No special specs for Srixon's markets. Srixon Golf is another deal altogether.

Kind of off topic, but the logo on Yen Hsun Lu's racquet is not srixon, correct? I've always wondered because he uses head racquets and had an interesting sideways S logo on his racquet. Almost sure it's not srixon, but I was wondering what it was.

It's really amazing how many little details there are in this sport (just like in every other domain as well, of course). And I tremenously enjoy reading here and picking up new tidbits of information all the time, too.
