Sugerpov has arrived in world class

I was sceptical about him too because it took him quite some time but I think now it is obvious that he has arrived at the very top. he pushed nadal hard in the AO and now had a great match with novak.

he can already hang with the best, now he only needs a little more consistency and he will beat them.

he will win a lot of slams and prove to be clearly the best from his generation (not that hard though).

If anything, he proved today and in AO how pathetic the "new" generation is.

he lost a very close match to the probably best player currently (he can lose to nadal on clay and maybe fed on grass but overall he is the most consistent top player). how is that pathetic?

At 23, the weakest member of "big 4" , Murray, was vastly more accomplished than the entire new generation combined

I can remember that you said the Dimitrov wouldnt pass the 3rd round, he reached the SF, lost a tight match and again he is not good enough for you. I have a sence that even if Dimitrov wins Us Open you would still find something negative about him.

Did you watch the match? Djokovic played horribly, and Dimitrov still couldn't beat him.

I consider Dimitrov to be better than Murray now. Until Murray beats Dimitrov or one of the top players in a slam,I consider the 'big 4' to be Nadal,Djokovic,Federer and Dimitrov

Djoko had a chance to win both the second and fourth sets reasonably easily but his play, more than Dimitrov's play, let him down.

Still it was a good showing from Dimitrov and he should have won the fourth in the end, so Djoko got off lightly.

Great nickname, hats off.

I find Dmitrov quite refreshing.

He'll win some slams, me thinks. Not worried about his age when he does so.

well it is what it is. of course we would have loved a new djokovic or nadal show up winning a slam at 20 but times have changed.

nadal, novak and murray have been an exeptionally strong generation and this one including dimi are much less accomplished at the same age.

however different people take different times (see ferrer) and if dimi is finally breaking through now that is great news.

why do you need to compare him with murray? we need new players arrving in world class pushing or even beating the top guys and dimi is just doing that currently.

just because fed, nadal and novak have won slams at 20-21 not everyone needs to do the same. lets stop the hate for the sugar boy and cheer for a new world class player.

Sugarpov is too similar to Sugarpova, which is already a nickname for Sharapova alone.

Dimipova, Marigor, or Grigoria might be a better name for the couple.
