Summer alternative for PST

I like everything about the PST, and unlike many reviewers of this frame, I do not feel this frame very sluggish.

Yet weather gets really hot here and I do not have enough time for exercise, so playing tennis is simply harder and my body definitely asks me to find a lighter stick than the PST. :) I am totally fine with using the PST during winter when I play indoor, but for this hot summer, I want to try something lighter so that I can play a little bit easier.

Do you have any recommendations for me for the summer alternative for the PST? I thought of the Speed Pro but did not demo yet. I am a baseline player, eastern grip, relatively flat hitter, 2hbh, and love the stability, plowthrough, and plush feel of the PST.

Thank you in advance!

1st answer would be Pure Storm, but.....
It's stiffer feeling, swings faster, will throw your game off when you try to switch back.
So, another brand. Dunlopf3T.
or one of those 3003D's now on sale here for 39.95.

obvious answer....the regular Pure Storm

Thanks,

I demoed the regular pure storm, but I felt that there is significant difference between those two frames, not to mention the weight difference. For me, the regular pure storm does not have the plowthrough that the PST has, and it swung fast for me and I had hard time to adjust.

Thanks, I will consider your recommendation when I choose for demo racquets.

Pro kennex ki5, or Pacific xforce pro. Both just slightly lighter options with lower sw but still good plow and excellent feel.

I love those frames. They are worth a try, but they might not be light enough to make a difference.

It almost seems as though a tweener frame like the PD or APDGT would be the next step if the Ki 5 or X-Force Pro are too heavy.

As a long time PST user that has been looking for a lighter alternative also, i would say the team or regular versions plus lead. Other good options are the Pro One, IG Rad Pro, PK 5 series and Rebel 98 plus a little lead.

Having given up on the PST+ because of my shoulder, the next step down the ladder for me was the Pro Kennex 7G. For standard length rackets, the 5G might fit the bill.

I normally use the PK Ki5 315 but pull out a PSTGT when I need a little extra power. Switching back and forth doesn't throw me off. The only thing I don't like about the PST is it is harder to serve with.
