Switching from Diablo, best Volkls?

After seeing how inhumanly long this turned out, here's the short version: I'm coming from a Diablo MP. Liked the DNX10Mid lots and VE10MP some, didn't like CAT8VE and C10Pro. I'd like to know about any good player's sticks like the two above that would be worth demoing next (Doesn't have to be Volkl), something a little more forgiving than the DNX10Mid.

I just got through demoing a few of the Volkl players racquets and would like some advice on which ones to try next. I'm a fairly fit 19-year-old 3.5 and have been using a Diablo MP for the last year and wanted to experience the Volkl feel for myself, and wound up testing the following:

DNX 10 mid: Absolutely loved this stick when I managed to make clean contact: very solid feel (far softer impact than my Diablo), markedly more power, and the same control that made me get the Diablo in the first place. Serving was a blast, I had more pace and better placement, with almost as much spin. I had no major problems consistently hitting the sweetspot during the day, but during the night I had more off-center hits. This racquet was so forgiving some of those managed to float in, but I think the headsize is a bit too small for me right now.

VE 10 MP: Fixed the problems with hitting the sweetspot, but felt a bit too light and not as solid on impact as the dnx. Had lots of power on the serve, but I had trouble getting my first serves in. The feel wasn't quite as good as the DNX, but was more forgiving of off center shots.

C10 Pro: Had even less power than the Diablo, which I had trouble coping with. This was partly because the upper hoop seemed a bit dead, and since that's exactly where the Diablo's sweetspot is I had trouble adjusting. It also seemed to have less power, which was a bit too much for me to deal with. Serving was difficult, as I consistently hit it on the upper half of the stringbed . Not a bad stick, but too different for me to get used to in a day.

Catapult 8 VE: Tried it to see if a tweener would do me any good. Just too light for me to use, and more power than I needed.

So after all that, I'm basically looking for a more forgiving DNX 10 mid. Doesn't really have to be a Volkl, although the DNX was so close to perfect I was sad to see it go. Of course I was looking at the DNX 10 MP, but would like to know the other options.
(On a side note, I was hitting with my girlfriend and she preferred the VE10 because of the lighter weight and power but wanted a bit more control, any suggestions for a decent demo for her would be appreciated.)

Wow, sure does. Might be right for my girlfriend if I don't like it, I'll give it a shot.

if the VE 10MP felt light to you the stock DNX 9 is even lighter. i felt it needed some mass so i added leather grip and a few grams of lead near the top of the handle. will hit with tonight and see if that makes a difference. i really like the racquet but just need to hit a heavier shot with it.

Whoops, you overlooked the VE10 mid. You might want to check that before you try other brands, but I'll bet you might like a look at the Yonex RDS 001 mid, too

That's a possibility, though the headsize makes me a bit wary, if it's more forgiving than the DNX10 mid I'd give it a shot.
