Swivel Clamp Question

Is there and industry standard for the height that swivel clamps, clamp on a pulled string? Also, how easily do clamps from one machine fit onto machines from other companies?

I have a Czech machine that has always worked great. I have never had any problems with it. I understand that they are no longer doing business in the US.

It is the only machine that I have owned so I don't have a real handle on how long machine parts last. If anything does break down, it would probably be the clamps. I was just wondering about the possibilty to buy clamps from a different company if I ever need to.

Anyone have any experience with trying anything like this? Thanks.

There is no industry standard of which I'm aware.

It's not likely that clamps, or any parts for that matter, from another brand will be interchangeable with your machine. The only exception would be is if your machine has a clone sold under a different name.

If your swivel clamps are the kind that fit into a tubular base post, you might find some that fit the same base. If your bases wear out, then it's probably less likely you'll find others that match them. If anyone would know, it's probably Jim Henry at Tennis Machines, Inc. in St. Louis. They have a website under that name.
