Tees or Collared shirts for Tennis?

Cotton tees are the way to go in my opinion. They're just right.

Are you kidding? That wouldn't fly around the mid-atlantic...way too humid. You'd have to peel it off your body between every point, 'cause of the sweat. Is that ever an issue or am I crazy?

I prefer a t-shirt but, if you're playing regularly outdoors with any kind of sunlight, they eventually become a recipe for skin cancer. A collared shirt is a much more intelligent choice, if you care about your health.

I sweat like a clown so I like those dri-fit tshirts. But if I was a pro or some sort of college player, collars.

practice- drifit/poly crews

tournament- collars or crews.

only time I wear cotton T-shirts is if it cold (< 50 degrees) and I'll wear it with something over it.

I also follow the rule of:

Non Tournament = Dri-Fit shirts. I sweat like a horse and I like the lightweight feel and it doesn't feel like I'm taking off 10 pounds of sweat when done.

Tournament = Definitely the collared shirts. My school has some underarmour polo's so they are really really nice and classy :) (Although they were expensive:sad: )

practice = cheapo TShirts (American Apparel)

serious practice/tourneys = Fila Polos

My tennis club requires men to wear collared shirts. Tougher every year to find Nike Dri-Fits with collars.

i like normal cotton shirts. they don't stick at all. you just gotta wear those non-stretchy ones. stretchy ones like shows your sweat WAY too much

Well, I live in Wisconsin, not exactly your Mid-Atlantic. But it gets hot in the summer, and cotton tees work for me. Maybe if I tried Dri-Fit and other athletic apperal, I might really like them. They are just really expensive.
