I'm going to bump this thread, because it's about beer and that deserves a bump.

My favourite is, and will be for a long, long time until it somehow gets trumped, Kwak. A Belgian beer, served in laboratory-like glasses:

It is delicious. My ultimate goal is to master the pouring of the glass.

Once upon a time a man found a bottle and as it happened, a genie popped out and told the man he would grant him 3 wishes.

The man immediately asked for a tall glass of his favorite beer, but the beer had to stay cold and no matter how much he drank out of the glass, the beer would refill to the top after each sip, swallow, gulp or chug.

The genie complied… and the man was ecstatic! The best beer he had ever tasted by far, and it stayed ice cold, frothy and was in a bottomless glass. The best.

"Now," said the genie, "what are your next 2 wishes?"

The man thought about it, took a couple more sips of beer and then said: "I'll take 2 more of these!"

^^ Grolsch really is quite good; had a Taj Mahal at an Indian dinner last week, had forgotten how nice that beer is also.

The best beer I had was a lowly Heineken after a fishing trek along Lake Del Valle with a buddy of mine in an extremely hot summer afternoon. When extremely thirsty, nothing surpasses beer. It goes down like pure water straight from a glacier.

Westbrook Brewery Mexican Cake!! One 22 oz. bottle for $70!!!!! And you are not even allowed to keep the empty bottle! Available only at the brewery in Charleston, SC.
For affordable beers, Dogfishhead 90 Minute IPA and Yeti Great Divide Imperial Stout.

Thank you. That's one beer I'm sure to never try in my life. Do you have any commentary about its (I hope) great virtues?

I will say that I recall it was INTENSELY tasty, great color, and excellent head (can't beat that, right?). I also clearly remember that I could still taste it two days later!! Look it up on beer advocate website and you'll see what the "connoseurs" think of it.....

Cold and free.

On a serious note though Duck-Rabbit brewery in Farmville,NC are the "King of Dark beers". Their Milk Stout, Brown Ale, Hoppy Bunny Ale are among my favorites.

Had one of these last month while visiting Greensboro at the excellent restaurant, The Print Works. To say that this was the most "underwhelming" stout I have drunk since Guiness would be an understatement. Compare this duck rabbit milk stout to Yeti Great Divide and then throw the rest of the duckrabbit out the window......

The DR Milk Stout is vastly different to the Yeti Divide Imperial Stout. Heck, Yeti is 10%alc to the DR MS @ 5.5%, not to mention "heavier" on the palate. If you want to compare the Yeti to a Duck Rabbit brew you need to try the DR Russian Imperial Stout 10%,Rabid Duck .

If you have been to Australia, ''little creature'' (if my memory is correct) is a nice beer, usually Aussie beers are subpar to european ones but this one is in the exception category.
I am also a fan of irish beer ''kilkenny''

whats awesome about beers is you will never get tired of tasting new ones and god knows how many different there are in the world

I tried this one and mmmmmmmm[emoji7]

Have you tried Erdinger Weissbier? I think it's much better than any other weissbier so far! But, á chacun son goût! :)

Not yet, and I will. I only drink 1 stubby of beer with my dinner each day and beer always makes me look forward to my dinners and makes me feel healthy in the morning. I must say that in moderation beer is a really healthy drink.

It was a Miller "the champagne of beers". I suppose it could have been any beer. It was a hot day and I had just come off the field from playing rec football. I was very thirsty. I opened a bottle and I couldn't stop drinking until I had downed it all. Then I had another at a normal pace.
