Yes, it took great "talent" and magnificent imagination to take a perfectly good FH and turn it into an albatross worthy of a Coleridge rime of its own...forehands, forehands but not that drops into the court!
Yeah, Tom...I thought after he left Bresnik for Enqvist, the flying eagle forehand would have been at least tamed, but there it was, swooping around for all to see. And it was tough to root for him after his behavior in the first round, where he riled his opponent and the French crowd, only to have to play a Frenchman in the second. It's way past time to grow up, Ernie.

My date stamp on the OP was just barely more than six months after that #152 nadir. He had climbed nearly 100 spots at the time. That's how streaky he can be. Perhaps the climb back will be quick and steep too. He has only one win (1R Wimby) to defend and 8 total wins on HCs for the rest of the year.
