The lack of good Wimbeldon finals

I will say this as a Djokovic fan, Nadal was the better player for the majority of the W 2018 match, Djokovic just happened to be more clutch at the most critical points, and really Nadal lost that match by one key point. That is it.

In a weird way, it makes it much EASIER for me to be cool with the match. I guess you get it too which is why you see the epicness in Madrid 09. When they are that close and it could go either way, and I know my guy could have taken it, I can't be too upset. AO12 etc is like that for me too. USO 2011's I can't stand :p when you feel like they tried just hard enough and played well enough and still just get mopped up.

Unpopular opinion:

Every grand slam final in the last 4-5 years has been entertaining and had quality tennis. Some ended in 3 sets but the tennis was still good, there was just one superior player but it doesn't make the finals any less entertaining. People just look back on them being 3 sets or containing certain players and assume they were bad or they never watched them in the first place and assume they were bad.
How is having 1 player noticeably better than the other be equally entertaining as 2 perfectly matched opponents?

There is no such a thing as a bad final. I find that silly. You have to earn it. You have to be good to get in the final of SW17. I'm not sure what part some people don't understand.

Sure, almost everyone wants to see Djokovic vs. Federer in the final of W but it doesn't work that way. Show respect to all players. It is tough out there. If someone had told me that Kevin Anderson would have reached the final of Wimbledon a couple of years ago I would have probably laughed. I'm not laughing any more :censored:.

In the last 15 years, all the good Wimbledon finals involved Federer:

2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014

I wonder why that is?
