Awesome,
You play with the 330g version right? Whats the swingweight on those?
I played at 330g, 12 HL but I also adjusted them to 310g and 9HL. My SW was the same at 303 so adjusting the weight in the handle or taking out weight effects total weight and balance but does not effect SW.

Did you notice a big lost in power when you changed from 330g to 310g? or was it similar because of the balance point?

Thanks a lot for your feedback,
I believe i was told that the 63RA version as a strung swingweight of about 335 and the 70RA version is arround 325. I think i prefer the 70RA version, becouse of that and i´m used to play with stiff tackets, so maybe won´t be much of a difference for me...Have you ever played with the Six One 95? Does the TC 95 swing easier than the Six One?

I’d talk with Paul with ref to SW, the 63RA is pretty crisp feeling even with the 16x19 string bed. I wouldn’t rule out the 63RA it won’t feel ‘soft’. Also wasn’t the six one over 12oz strung and over 330sw? It felt pretty hefty to me, more so than the TC95.

Thanks,
The Six One was really heavy. I need the Angell to be mora light but to keep the ability to crush th ball when i need. I like to crush it flat whenever i can...

Had to play with my 95 as I snapped my strings in my 90. Imo the 95 is missing something that the 90 has for me. Wrist is more tender with the 95 with a gut hybrid as well compared to full poly at 40lbs in the 90. Maybe its the poly cross being in the 50s (possibly dead now) but geometry of the head is different, narrower than how the 95 feels through the air, effortless power on the forehand. More like a Babolat Pure Storm Llimited compared to the 95 being more akin to the rounder princes.

Serving was well down tonight, I need to radar the 90 because I hit some massive bombs with it and pinpoint precision is unmatched. I think it hits harder than the 95 by a fair margin and gives me more confidence as well.

I will probably sell my 95 and get another 90 at this stage, I want a matched frame that I can regularly play with and tinker strings without changing 2 variables. Fitness is getting to a level where the demands of the 90 are not bad and its the best vollying frame I have ever used.

Edit** I am wondering how close to a 90" this frame is. Anyone have the chance to compare it to another "true" 90 for reference? I understand the 95 is more like a 96 so thinking this may be a 91 or 92.

Do you really think that the 16x18 tc 90 às more precision than the tc95 18x20?

Not sure, I use the 16x19 TC95 and I think its much more precise than that. I also own an 18x20 97 and I think the 97 has a slight bit more precision but lower power and less comfortable even though the 90 has higher RA. I would have to hit side by side to know for sure but I expect the 18m to be more precise, its a super tight pattern. For sure the precision on serve for the 90 is up there and above almost any frame I have used, maybe the PSL is close but its very low powered. The precision on the 90 is really quite amazing considering how open the pattern is...

* I edited this a bit in case you recheck. Was trying to remember anything close to the 90 for serving. Only frame I felt like putting 2 first serves down without worry like the 90 was the PSL. Miss by a few inches and then hit a corner with the second etc. It also sounds unreal with the 90 and solstice power, massive thuds.

Nice! I am just having a problem with the difference in balance between my two k7. The difference is fairly sizable so cannot get them close to each other and they swing pretty different.
I'm sure that is frustrating... I'm really close to pulling the trigger on a 2nd one. I should probably do it soon with the hope of getting one from a similar batch.

Good idea! I’m almost thinking sell the two I have and order two new ones at the same time and ask for them to be matched

This will be a problem , since i can´t demo the angell sticks it´s a risk ordering two at the same time and not like them...But ordering one now and other later, and find that the two rackets swing different it´s a huge problem...Now i´m even more confused...

Aren´t the rackets supposed to be exctly the same even when bought in different periods? Doesn´t Paul guarantee that?

Since every racket has a serial number it is not a problem. Paul stores every data on file for each racket. I just sent him an email when I bought a used frame and got the details of exactly the specs when leaving the factory. Now I have ordered a new one, and asked for the same as the other one with nr: xxxxx. Then Paul can match exactly to the other frame.

you and i got from the same batch a few weeks ago, if you do, let me know, we can compare specs for yours and mine and that could potentially be my 2nd one

It may be my fault for asking for highest SW so I got a 292 and should have asked for match to one I have. However balance came in 33cm and yours sounds more HL. When string is dead, I can cut it out and give unstrung specs but I think I also posted them here when I first got the racquet

Tc95 63 ra can go down to 290 SW unstrung. 300 is its target SW but usually were coming higher. I believe now it is corrected and there are more around 300 rather than above 300. I believe The higher you go , The better. Tc95 just loves high SW. Foam density or something. I can say that my tc 95 297 unstrung plays faster than head graphene prestige. Probably due to thinner beam. On the other hand. Head's QC isnt as great as angell so who knows what specs had that prestige. In theory around 298 sw. It had bette plow though . Was reminding me of my old 306 SW tc 95 in terms of plow. Mleh.. Prestiges<blade<angell . Very tight with blades ;) maybe my upcoming tc97 will push the line further...

Think mine was same batch the k7 sw’s were all pretty much on 289/290.

My 2nd K7 appears to be slightly more head heavy than first batch too. The grip size has now been sorted and my new frame is a shade darker red than first batch and is even more aesthetically pleasing. Decided to add a bit of weight to this one and have it at 323sw now & 328g strung. Has helped with that little bit of instability I found stock, and is still lightening quick to swing. Strung with halo 1 extremely comfortable set up, had a feeling it may move about a bit so happy I strung a few lbs higher as it plays nicely. Will hybrid the K7 next, have some halo 3 to try.
What tension did you go with for Halo 1 in your K7?

Prem

Yes, my second was less HL or more HH
My K7 arrived last week with 32.8 mm balance. And around 290SW. Haven't checked with Paul on the exact SW. Checked the SW after stringing and compared it with my TC95. It looks like the K7 is 290SW unstrung. The total weight was 302g. I have replaced the grip with Wilson shock shield and added 2 gm to the button cap. Strung it with Prince synthetic gut and the spec weight now is 328g, 32.8 cm balance and 320 SW.

stephenclown, I have both the TC90 and the original Pro Staff 6.1 (16/18 string pattern)
the Tc90 and PS 6.1 are the same (23.5cm) in their mid point width
The PS 6.1 measures 32.3cm from top to bottom
The TC90 measures 31.8cm from top to bottom
that is a whopping .5cm difference !
all my measurements are from inside the frame

So not a comparison to a "true" 90 but I consider that a comparison with a true 95

I have a Dunlop AG 4D 100 on hand
it's width is 22.9cm
it's height measures 31.7cm

I consider the TC90 close to a Pro Staff 6.1,minus the Kevlar:(
and the sweet spot may be bigger

today i´ve demoed the Volkl Power Bridge 10 Mid and i think i´m in love. The racket came with Wilson revolve, so tomorrow will string it with Luxilon Original to give it a most precise test. have you ever played with the Power Bridge? As anyone here in this forum that can compare the Power Bridge with the TC 95 or the TC 90?

Hi Rui both me and @Gee play(ed) the TC95 18x20 in 63Ra. It is an absolute Beast. It will be everything you look for and more! Someone at the beginning of this thread said that that stick would suit Delpo and i would agree. Crushing the ball and with sublime control. When I contacted Paul to let him know I needed 2 more of these frames because I would be making the switch to it he sounded delighted and complemented me on my choice letting me know in his opinion more players should be playing 18x20 patterns.

Hi Jouke,
have you ever tried the Volkl Power Bridge 10? Can you compare the two sticks?

I haven't sorry. I usually follow big hypes or test some racquets used in my club. I trust in Wilson and yonex most. They both have very wide and good offer right now. Wilson slightly better in playability, yonex in QC. Anyway... it seems I will stick to Angell until new hype arises ;p then who knows which racquet wins...but Angell is a tough opponent ;p

Thats interesting, thanks for the insight! The PWS on the Pro Staff would enable a longer head though wouldnt it? I wish the TC90 had kevlar but the power of the frame is nuts so I don't worry too much and its super comfortable for me anyway. which one do you prefer? Ever since I have bought the TC90 I have had a fascination with other 90-94" frames. Might try out the Phantom 93P when it comes out, but 18x20 in a 93... God damn thats one precise stick.

Anyone lose one of their Angell butt caps? I lost one tonight and it drove me bonkers that I couldn't find it. I thought more about my butt cap than the match. I have C grip shape. Any luck with any other manufacturer butt caps fitting? ;). I hate to order a butt cap from the UK.

Just seen your post about losing the butt cap. I see you are from Georgia and I assume that is the state of Georgia in the USA not the country Georgia!
Assuming you are in the USA, I live in Florida and I have a racket delivery being shipped to me from Paul on either Thursday or Friday. If you could arrange with Paul to supply you the item you need, if he can put it in a separate envelope addressed to you I would gladly ship it on to you when I receive it.

I have played with all of them. TC90 will be closer in performance (PowerBridge has really low SW that highly contributes to the overall experience), none of the Angells are especially close in feel. TC95, even in 63RA, has firmer feel and TC90 with 70RA does not flex the way PB10 (nothing really does...needs to be said).

PB10 is pretty unique frame both in feel(fiberglass in the layup) and performance (high static weight combined with low SW). I have an older version of TC90 with 63RA unstrung waiting for my return home, I’m curious if that one would be closer to PB10.

And I’ll add that the seller is a great guy and a pleasure to deal with. I bought one of those Vantages a month ago and did other transactions with him in the past. 100%

18x20 has better control, less spin (not significantly) and even bigger power potential. I’m talking about 63RA version, never tried 70RA.

I’d highly recommend going for 320/305 combo for starters. It’s not in the menu, you’ll have to ask for it in a note at the end of ordering process. That specs give you room to maneuver and are quite easy to re-sell, if necessary.

Mid-low 330s (depending on strings). You can ask specifically for a low unstrung SW, just keep in mind there are posters/posts here that report not so good performances of D beam, 63RA Angells in low SW. Even if you ask for low SW, you probably will not get lower than mid-high 320s anyway (depending on string type and gauge).

Those specs for the TC 95 comparing to the Power Bridge are still well maneuverable? The maneuver part it´s very important to me...
