Is there any particular reason the React can't go above 315 for weight? Just cause it isn't foam filled? 5 grams isn't a lot but it would be great to get 320 without adding lead

I have had the same question. Or maybe these are considered as paying better in more light and head light configurations?
More head heavy 310g/315mm and 315g/315mm options are not available.
I'm waiting for upcoming feedback and reviews from those who already ordered these sticks.

I have 310/310 and will make another review soon.

Problem 1 is that our Nationals are comming up soon, and its not the right time to change racquets, I will go with my trusted TC100.

Problem 2 is that my wife “stole” the React, and she really likes it so its hard to get it back….. She normally plays Prince Textreme Tour 100P, and with the React she hits a heavier ball and with more control.

There was a demand for racquets with lower SW, so I think that was one of the main reasons to create a new line without foam. The new line have the quality and playability of the TC line, with a lower weight and SW.

If you are into more heavy SW racquets then the TC line is more for you.

Does anyone know the stringing instructions for the React MP Pro 99? Not yet listed on the website.
Not yet ordered but interested to see them. thanks

I messaged Angell on FB for this since I don't want to "risk" stringing it up wrong (I mean it's mostly that I'm lazy... think I can figure it out off of the image anyways) but I haven't received a reply yet :(

Hi guys, would anyone know if it is indeed true that the React 96 beam is 21-22mm thick while the 96 pro is slightly thinner at 20-21mm? Thanks! I messaged them but got no reply.

I believe you can find it from the "FAQ" section of the site. That's where most seem to be listed.

I'm very curious about React 96 vs TC95. What are the differences between each.
Hollow vs foam filled plus the more Aero style throat. This new release is terrible for me as I have no idea what I would like more.

I played the TC 97 18x20 for almost 3 years exclusively. Moved away because I wanted easier defense and better feel on my backhand swing path.

Probably hit with 30+ rackets over the last year. Current main lineup is TC 95 16x19, a PK Doppio, and the Diadem elevate v3. I also have the TC97 16x19 but the play almost too powerful and I haven't found the right string to get the spin and shot trajectory I like.

My primary complaint with the TC95 is that it can still feel sluggish at times, but the ball it hits is the most difficult for the opponent. The only react I know I don't want is the '99 16x19, but all the others I can make arguments for. I also had a TC100, but I truly couldn't tame that beast. Just way too powerful for me (strong 4.5 / 5.0). Fun to hit around, but too much and too wild to trust in match play.

Do I want to go back to my roots and go with a '96 18x20 at 27.25in 305g 315mm balance - or do I trust the new '99 18x19 has put a "saddle and stirrups" on the 100 enough to be my main racket for a long time (rest of the specs from the '96 being kept the same)

I played with almost every angell except tc100 and tc90. The tc95 found it very explosive and sometimes uncontrolled with tensions below 50lbs and with tensions above 50lbs it was too rigid. I agree that at times he seemed slow. If the RC96 is really more manageable and less explosive than the tc95, it will be a great racket. My current racquet is the pure strike vs 2022 custom leaded at 12 o'clock. Vs 2022 gives me a lot of control, precision and low power, which allows me to make fast swings with confidence. I hope the RC96 is like that too.

React has arrived and it measured 303.2g/31.3cm/292SW. Yes, it's .25 XL. I can't tell the difference in head size between it and the TC100. I took it right away to the stringer for some hit pro @48lbs. I will need to add some SW to it in order to be able to play it.

Try testing without adding weight to get a feel for it.

Where do you place weight in order to up the SW? I will need to do this for my last two TC100. These are 291 only and it feels a bit weird.
12 at the top of the hoop to add the most SW with least actual weight. 2g at 12 adds 4SW points (I think).

TW actually has a really useful customization tool where you can play around with all the numbers.

Hey! Slightly off topic here but I wonder what strings set up / tension would be recommended for both TC95 and TC97 18x20? Usually using FB poly (solinco confidential, alu power big banger) at around 24M/23X kg in a 360+ Prestige MP and have no problem generating power with such a set up. And find myself with decent control. But with a string bed maybe slightly tigher in the Angells, I wonder if reducing tension a notch would not be best?
Also, I'd like to explore hydrib maybe using some multi strings in the cross to transition to something slightly more arm-friendly. Does anyone have recommendation for good budget co-poly/multi/synt gut to use in cross for hybrid set-up in tight string patterns?
Thanks!

Ok. React MP Pro looks too good to pass up. 99", 21mm beam, 18x19 pattern, not foam filled so lower sw, available in XL. This is basically the frame I've been asking for for ages.

There is a bit of personal preference involved. All things equal, 12 most SW, 2&9 combo SW/stability, 3&9 mostly stability but affects SW a bit as well. After much tinkering, I favor 2&9 or 12.

Let us know when you get the strung frame back. I'm curious how dense the 18x19 really is.

I played Tier 1 (now TruPro) Black Knight 1.18mm in my 97 18x20s for almost 3 years. Loved it. The BK is crisp enough to cut thru the foam to still give good feedback when hitting the ball. Depending on temp I strung between 46-49lbs.

Tru Pros Ghost Wire is their smooth round extra soft poly they recommend as a cross. Comes in 1.10, 1.18, 1.23, and 1.28mm

I begged and pleaded for TC100 with a bit tighter pattern like 8 mains or 16x20 but no luck

Had the same conversation myself some years back, always seemed a natural thing to do when they had more closed option on the TC95 & 97's. Especially now they have a better control of SW's on the TC line.

Isn't it a bit weird that in the React 18x19, even though it's 18 mains, there's only 6 in the throat?
Not really. I remember seen a Prince 18x20, don't remember the model name, but it had six in the throat and it was not an open pattern. Maybe it is just that the throat piece is narrow. On the other hand, Wilson Shift 18x20 has ten in the throat...

Compared to Prince TT100P, React have closer mains but more open crosses, head size very very close to each other.

I've used Solinco tour bite + vanquish as a hybrid set, plus Volkl Cyclone and Volkl powerfibre.

The Solinco came in a set and lasted longer and played better (IMO) than the Volkl.

For extra comfort I usually just string co poly with a lower tension.

Nate Ferguson's advice was to play with the loosest tension you can still control.

I still count 8 strings within the throat. If you look at the image 8 top holes are clearly within the throat, but the 2 last ones goes out on the side.

What you see in the image is that the stringing starts at the bottom, and hense the throat bumper has 3 “bumps or hills” (dont know the term for this)

If the stringing layout was to start at the head (like other 18M Angell racquets), ther would be 4 “bumps or hills” with the excact same spacing between the strings.

So I think @ockelito is right its just a matter of definition, not a meassure of string spacing.

React string pattern is tighter than the Blade 98 16x19 (8 mains), and tighter than Prince TT100P 18x20 (6 mains), but more open than TC95 18x20 (8 mains)
