So first off, here's a bit of background info. 4.5 player using n90 and blx90. Currently using, and most preferred, nxt 16 (or 17) at 48lbs. I've found Forten syngut 16 to be a cheap and tolerable alternative also at 48lbs. I used to string at 60-63lbs but over the past year I've made my way down. Now, what I'm looking for is to eventually transition to a full poly hybrid that isn't very stiff but rather quite soft, offers good spin, and doesn't die awfully quick. Asking for a lot, I know xD I've tried full poly hybrids a few months back for a bit but not long enough to really have adjusted to the transition. I tried prosupex big ace 17 crosses/bhbr 16 mains at 54 lbs 44lbs 34lbs and 24lbs. Honestly, I don't remember how they felt; I just remember I wasn't too fond of it. Though at 24lbs it was suuuper soft, but too dead; couldn't get any power behind my shots. Awesome spin though. I've also tried b5e 17 mains/mosquito bite 18 crosses at 44lbs; felt a bit stiff. Ltec 5s/0s at 44lbs with whichever comes in a thinner gauge on the crosses. I tried this one recently and liked it a lot, but only got to use it once.

Anyways, so the strings I have atm are: bhbr 16, prosupex big ace 17, ltec 5s, ltec 0s, nxt 16, forten syngut 16, mosquito bite 18, b5e 17, and I just got iontech salmon and black mumba penta twist. There are so many combinations I could try; I don't know where to start. I'm wondering if I should start with a poly with syngut/nxt hybrid and make my way to a full poly gradually, or just go for a full poly off the bat. In either case, which strings should I go with? It'd be great if someone else out there has the same preference for strings and has tried all this already, but I guess even then, it's personal preference.

Btw, my stokes are similar to federer I suppose. Easter grip, hit flat/spin. Personality and play style is more like verdasco? If that helps any. Oh, and I use a dampener.

Not sure about the others but try BHBR/Forten Sweet with the mains 4lbs lower or Iontec/Mamba fullbed in the hi 40s.
It's a place to start.
