In honour of the two finalists about to kick off the Tour Final - what are they're chosen rackets actual specs and string combos?

I know med hits a 95” 18x19 racket painted to look like Tecnifibre’s stiffer one.
Thiem uses a pure strike that everyone thinks is the old black one, but Babolat says is the newest white one.
Idk about their lead. Both use endorsement brand poly.

I've read elsewhere (from the Tennis Nerd) the claim that Medvedev hits with a 95" pro-stock frame PJ'd to look like a TFight 305, but I don't think that's accurate. And here are 3 pieces of evidence toward that:
1) A Tecnifibre official in the TT "Medvedev Stick" thread of Sept 2019, explicitly stated he was using a TFight XTC 305. While these officials will certainly talk around the truth and/or avoid directly answering certain questions, they don't tend to openly lie in writing. I'm not saying it's impossible he lied, just less likely.
2) The 305 features the 18x19 string pattern we see Daniil playing with today. More, if you look the hoop size, it's pretty obvious, to me at least, that it's a 98, not a 95. It's a difference you can clearly see on camera (just take a look at Shapovalov's Yonex VCORE 95 to confirm this). More, the hoop shape is slightly longer and narrower than a standard 98, which is consistent with a real TFight.
3) The PJ on his racquet is that of a TFight 305 RS (the newest model). The RSs, tho, feature a new end cap graphic, that of Technifibre's new blue & red logo on a white background. But Medvedev's stick features the old XTC buttcap, distinctively silver (tin at least) with the ATP and old Technifibre logos 'etched' in. You can clearly see this if you look. While this may be the weakest evidence I'm offering, it would be consistent with his using a 305 XTC painted up to look like an RS.

Hard to tell if this is a 95 or a 98 but it certainly could be. That string pattern looks pretty dense and the grip size is smaller than I would of imaged for such a big guy.

I'll grant you that in that pic, with the stick foreshortened, it looks more like a 95 than a 98. But do check out his racquet live when he plays in the ATP Championship final today. I'll warrant it'll look positively 98 to you too. And do look out for that silver end cap. Why would he have an XTC cap on an RS stick? Re. the handle, I've noticed it's tiny too, and the TFights do come in max grip size L4, tiny for a guy his size. But I didn't include that as evidence because it's sooo easy for these guys to have their grip built up if they want it.

Re. strings, they DO look pretty dense and the Tennis Nerd DID say, I now remember, that M. uses an old Technifibre 305 Dynacore under all his PJs; and indeed that Dynacore is a 95 with 18x19 strings. All to say, my theory is not without its holes, and I thank you for chiming in.

Thiem 340g 32.2cm 345sw he switched to the latest PS looking at his mold, previously his mold was that of the old PS but apparently he did switch
He used to have lead tape at 3 and 9 with the old mold but when he switched he stopped, now he's back to using lead tape so maybe he sw went up to 350 we don't know

Medvedev we don't know the sw but it's 360g and very headlight which leads to speculate it's a typical wilson 6.1 95 18x20 specs possibly stock that thing is a beast of a racket even with no mods, it's typically hovers around 340sw so medvedev is probably 360g 31-31.5 balance 335-345 sw

Is tf official still on this forum ? Can they set us straight ? There is no point for us to guess without any grounds.

I doubt none of your stats but one: M's stick has 18x19 strings, which suggests a Technifibre 305 Dynacore, his 1st Technifibre stick, or some later model, like the XTC, pending whether it can be confirmed the head size is 95 or 98...

I own his personal racquets - one Wilson (still have) and two Tecnifibre (sold to my friend). I compare all racquets, they all are Wilson 95" clones with different TF pj. Even his Wilson (used by him before switch to TF is classical PS 6.1 under PS 97 pj.

“Clone” as in a repainted 6.1 or a racquet made by TF attempting to mimic 6.1 qualities?

Don't guess anymore: Daniil's is a Tecni 305 RS 18x19, is a 98" head... which because of his seize looks like a smaller head.

Wilson 95 ? wouldn't make him play with such a confidence and variety.

I find it interesting that 7 out of 8 at the Nitto ATP final plays with dense string patterns.

I recently changed racquet from 16x19 to 18x20 and don't seem to loose any spin or power but gain a lot more control.

I use an 18x20 myself, always have and completely agree. The spin generation is predominantly in the technique and can be aided by more open patterns.

As stated by polksio & BorgCash Medvedev’s TF looks exactly like a Wilson 6.1 95 without PWS. Come to think of it why would a successful pro champion like Medvedev work his way down the rankings with a successful mold and then change it completely when he enters the top 100. That head size seems like a 95. He serves with so much power and precision and his forehand he can hit flat, topspin, but when he hits angles you can see him ‘work’ that racquet around to get the effect he seeks which is what you need to do with a six one 95 or equivalent closed pattern 95 head size racquet. The racquet is also 100% for his flat double backhand. When he is not 100% on it with foot work / technique the racquet makes even a great champion like him work hard, but with his fitness he can lift his game and racquet to do the ‘work’.

I recall someone posted specs for medvedev. The sw was around 360.
I really doubt that from looking at how his ball behaves but i dobt think its as low as 325 he would get bullied so hard in long rallies, my guess is 340

Care to measure the balance and sw?

Fell in love with the control too when i first hit with a six one 18x20 but tight pattern 16x19 like head prestiges radicals or babolat pure strike are fine too. As a rule of thumb if it has 8 strings going theough the throat, i approve

That is surprisingly light for a Pro with a SW I could handle. I assume they are the unstrung specs.
It's unstrung but you can handle a 345 if you give yourself time to get used to it, thiems setup is actually really really good and accessible for anyone with a semi western grip i feel

Unsustained claims, I don't see the similarities, vastly different head geom., beam cross, etc.... show me the pictures of those "6.1 95" and without the PWS ??? you are kidding....
Maybe polksio & BorgCash are Wilson employees....

I played with his personal racquets, they're around 360 gr and quite powerfull, mostly suitable for flat hits. It is especially good for such a tall guy with specific technique.

You could find my thread couple of years ago about his personal racquets i had (i got them from his elder sister). Unfortunately i'm not a Wilson employee, i just spend money on racquets, not earn. Don't understand your logic. Actually everything is quite simple. First Medvedev was under the contract with Wilson for racquets, shoes and clothes. I got some of his wristbands of that period. Then he moved to France (he lives in Nice) for better training conditions (all Russian tops - Medvedev, Khachanov and Rublev stay outside of Russia, there are not good options for training in modern Russia) and switched to French brand for racquets - TF (and Lotto for shoes and apparel), later to French Lacoste for apparel. Cause he begin with PS 95 he likes it. The third his personal racquet i currently own is PS 95 under PS 97 pj.

Well I rather hear the story from the horse's mouth.... You said 2 years ago ? look at this video was made here in California 3 years ago !!!
You do not need to explain anything to anybody, here is Daniil himself. Enjoy.

Those are Daniel's racquets, not Daniil's :-D

Seriously, I got the impression Daniil just picked up that racquet for that promo. That looks like a stock 98 and the racquets he's playing with are 95's.

Here you could find a pictures of his personal sticks i owned. Later i compare all racquets and found out that currently he played with 18x19 clone of PS 95 (of course PWS-less). The weight is 359 and 356 gr. The balance is around 31.0
The three sticks you had were

PS 95 painted like PS 97
Tfight 305 series 3 ATP painted like dynacore
dynacore Tfight 305 customized.

I played with PS95 18 x 20 and the second TF 305 ATP. They have similar feel, launch angle, and etc.

would like to try a dynacore someday but I figured it would also be very similar.

Well at least you can recognize that this video shows a REAL Tecnifibre... not a copy or a repaint.
This was 3 years ago, our story teller says that DM was playing the PS painted 'a couple of years ago'.... and he has the racquet from a friend an his uncle and his cousin also knows... but actually he sold it.
Give us a break.

Many players don't understand much about racquets. They just test this and that and choose. And very often they stick to racquets they begin with in junior period.

You could take a break right now if you want. And i see you don't need true info you just listen to your inventions. I could tell once more and last time - i personaly got three of his personal racquets with some other staff - mostly wrist bands. Got it straight from his elder sister. Later i study all these three racquets ( after i played with all of them ) and discover that all these racquets are very similar. Period.

Kind of ridiculous that someone assumes that an internet poster is disposed to lie about Medvedev’s (of all people, not like these are Rafa’s) sticks for some internet chops. Hope this doesn’t discourage similar contributions from others fortunate enough to have acquired used sticks from the pros.

Don't bother your eye doctor:). I measure balance later. It is around 31.0
Hehe, did you measure it off of a table?
Generally the real balance is the balance off the table +0.25/0.3
Which makes for just an average six one 95 specs if we go by weight and balance, i believe 90% his SW is 340ish
I don't believe he swings 360 with that low of a balance point with his frame (as in body), if it was 32-33cm maybe

Which makes for something funny to think about, Medvedev is probably the closest player to Fed's specs (with Rublev) but look at Med's strokes vs Fed's strokes, the player comes before the specs, as long as you have a decent swingweight, you can do whatever you want with the rest

Do you really think that similar racquet specs lead to similar style of play? It's funny. Daniil has very specific technique, it's mostly of his individual data - height, etc., and techniqual background as a junior.
So, hehe or no hehe, i post his racquet real data, i know it, everything else is "jive talking" and i don't interested in it.
