Tsitsipas Too Lazy To Get His Own Towel

The shot clock is set at 25 seconds when the ball ballkid brings the towel, and 25 seconds when the player has to fetch the towel. It takes longer for the player to fetch the towel than if it's brought to him. Either it's 25 secs with the ballkid bringing the towel or 30 seconds if the player fetches it himself.

Um, an enclosed space that is roasting on warm days. I guess you've never seen how much boxers or MMA fighters sweat. Im pretty sure outwith Nadal, no tennis players sweat THAT much in comparison. ( PS and im a heavy sweater when training ).

First off, we can’t quantity sweat unless you have some stats showing how much tennis players sweatvs whatever sport you play in comparison

Second, ye I sweat a **** ton and so do a lot of tennis players.

These can be 10 minute long games, 20+ shot rallies, running back and forth, up and down, for someone like me and a lot of others, with the sun beating down AND humidity. Bu the end of a point we’re sweating buckets and are racquets are covered with sweat and someone like with me glasses is even worse off

Sure ball boys don’t have to do anything but give balls, but we need towels

They should definitely put an end to this ball-kid = towel-servant nonsense.
For one thing, touching a towel dripping with some guy's sweat is disgusting enough in itself.
On top of that, I've seen players playing with a cold/flu/who-knows-what-virus, wiping their entire face with the towel, and then throwing it at a poor ball kid who has no choice but to handle that disgusting germ-infested rag.

The towel rack idea is great, and should be implemented ASAP.

When did this tower-after-every-point thing get out of hand?

Just watched a Hewitt-Agassi 2002 US Open match on Youtube- there's very few towelling in between points. Hewitt was just using his shirt to wipe sweat off his face in between points. Agassi used a towel here and there but it's very quick- just wipe his face/bald head and then on to the next point.

Im not comparing anything, but I think you and other tennis players need to man up a little. Its only sweat.

Tiafoe has apparently said the same thing. But really? They're too tired to get their own towels? This is completely out of control and utterly ridiculous. No one should have to handle the germ/sweat-filled towels of these divas. Get your own towel and get on with the match.

At 20 years old, Tsitsipas better change his attitude asap. The world is watching, that includes sponsors and brands looking for endorsement with someone with integrity who doesn't act like a fxxxing diva.

The toweling is getting out of hand. I get it, pro players sweat a lot. But do they need to reach for the towel after every point and do we need close-ups of that on tv?
