Tsonga?

I recently watched the Tsonga - Stepanek match and I noticed tsonga using a 1hbh from time to time, so whats up with him??

He just does it when he's really out of position and needs to stretch to hit an awkward shot. He used it a few times against Murray.

Most top players are able to hit pretty good alternative backhands actually: Federer can play two handed well, Verdasco can hit a one hander, so can Murray. It's just that those shots aren't as well rehearsed as their normal backhands. They can still hit them much better than most rec players.

I can't recall ever seeing Federer use a two handed backhand.Do you have an example of when he used it?

Wilander stepped up to the next level when he added a one hand slice backhand to his game, used it quite a bit on faster surfaces.

There is just one video out there of him hitting one 2 handed BH shot during practice. I don't think it is correct to say he "uses" it.
