Good review. Sounds like a great stick. Very similar to the POG OS in specs, but a noticeably lower SW (318 v. 335) and probably more flexy feeling even though the RDC rating is technically stiffer.

I'm sorry, but the rating is a bit overinflated. From the sounds of it, everybody enjoyed it on groundstrokes, the racket has a great feel to it, and is every bit an old school classic. However, it seems that Granville has problems with those touch shots. I don't know that the racket deserves an 84. It's a good racket, but there must be a bit of overinflation.
1. i wish they would have sold the agassi racquets to us that they got from bosworth instead of playng with them/sending them to be evaluated
2. review says the racquet is to agassi's specs but i think his racquet was heavier?

It's a totally different racquet the one you have is made in Belgium using different materials & the new one is a special make up by TW in China, so the review should be taken with a pinch of salt !

From the day that TW said they were going to sell this tennis racquet, people on these boards have clamored for a Review of the Donnay Pro One Oversize.
Well today they post it and now a lot of posters are saying the review is jaded.
I think there is a lot of good information to be gleamed from the review, but it I was in the market for this type of frame, I would get the Prince POG OS, the Head Aggassi Radical Limited Edition, and the Donnay Pro One Oversize. I would string them up with the same string and try to obtain equal string bed stiffness and play test them for myself. A review is just other players opinions and I am sure that not one of them plays exactly like me, and thus what they like I might not like.
Remember it is just a review!

I don't mean to hammer TW over this, because they are awesome to go to the trouble of resurrecting this classic and customer service is second to none. HOWEVER, the main reason I ordered some of these new Pro Ones is that I absolutely loved my old Blue/Yellow jobs made in Belgium, but the grommets on the old ones are cut/jaded (this was after years of use) and it's almost impossible to find spare grommets. My stringer won't even touch the old Pro Ones for fear the string will be cut quickly. So, what happens when I pulled my new Pro Ones out of the box? Grommets were all cracked and banged up from the FIRST string job. There must be a design flaw or bad materials used. If they get this grommet situation resolved, I will buy 4 or 5 of these sticks.

Here is a question for TW. I was one of the first 2 order 3 matched sticks in the 4 and 3 8ths grip size. If I order a couple of more, will they be from the original batch for sure? Or has TW had multiple batches made?

I don't fully understand this review either. Product page describes it as a low powered racquet but it scores quite a high power rating on the review. Score for serving is also quite high yet the review narrative suggests serve was problematic for some. Hmmm....
I never look at the numbers because I don't believe they are consistent over time. Read the comments carefully and you can tease out a lot of information. Sometimes its like reading Pravda in the old Soviet days, sometimes its what isn't said that is important. (I'm not saying that TW slants things intentionally, though) Also, after reading a lot of reviews, I get to know what each reviewer likes or dislikes about rackets, based on how they rate rackets I have played with and which parts of which reviewers games are most applicable to mine.

Slightly off topic but I notice that Ryan S's game style and racquet preferences are very similar to my own (much stronger on serve and in the forecourt than on groundstrokes and at the back of the court; little interest in long rallies: pick racquets of a decent weight that excel at net and on serve) so I'm wondering what, if anything, he's been considering to replace his old Slazenger Pro Braided (surely they must be due for retirement).

Be that as it may, the TW reissue still had great feel. Heft, plow, and a buttery feel. I’d be all in for another run of the pink or blue/yellow.
