I was wondering if you allowed to play a men's open tournament and a junior tournament in the same weekend. Both tournaments are run by the same organization and at the same club.

No.

If you do try, remember that each tournament isn't going to coordinate schedules with the other, so you might end up for matches scheduled at he same time in both, and will have to forfeit one. Nobody's gonna end up happy.

If both are run by the same org at the same club, it's possible they might coordinate; heck, it might be the same TD for both.

If so, it wouldn't be any different than a tournament where you entered more than one division [ie singles and doubles]: the TD would make allowances.

With this in mind, I agree you should be able to do it. Just let the director know you're playing in both. It seems like the separation of the junior/adult tournaments is a bit artificial anyway from what you've said.

As long as you're physically fit enough for the inevitable short turnarounds, go for it.

That's why I mentioned the "artificial" separation. I can't think of any time I've seen two distinct tournaments hosted locally by the same tournament director for juniors & adults. They run it as one tournament with different draws.
There are two different tennislinks for the tournaments. I think I'm going to play the adult tournament because the level of play is higher.

I believe you. I am just surprised the TD elected to set it up that way. I wonder if he gets more credit for running "two" tournaments ;). If so, well played.

Only other advice I would give us to make sure you have the same number of guaranteed matches in both (ie. backdraw/consolation). It'd suck if you got matched up against some stud in the first round, and they didn't at least give you a second match.

I'll call the tournament director to see what he says.
