I am going to buy a new Volkl racket soon but I don't know wich one I want.
DNX 10 Mid or Mid Plus?

I read that Joachim Johansson's current Yonex racket RDS 001 (painted Yonex RDX 500 HD 18x20 inch is quite similar to the DNX 10 Mid plus?

Someone who have some experince about this?

I am a agressive attacking player...

I havent hit the YOnex frame but have spent time with the DNX10Mid and MP. Perhaps they are calling te YOnex similar to the DNX10MP because they both have 18mains dense stringbeds but doesnt Johannsson use a mid sized frame and not a mp?

As far as going with the the DNX10Mid or MP, i would recommend the Mid if you can handle a little more swingweight than the MP. The sweetspots are similar in size, the Mid sems to work with a broader range of strings and tension. both support all styles of play, and will support whatever you have to give them. the MP is surprisingly spinny for an 18mains frame. the Mid has a softer feel. demo demo demo, and i recommend this assumoing you have the ability to best take advantage of racquets designed for advanced players

Can you proof that he's playing with Mid size frame?

Make sure you like an 18x20 pattern before you get the Midplus. String pattern is the first item I check when shopping for a racquet. I'm still waiting on my 10 mid.

NoBadMojo: can you name one or two frames that play identical/comparable to the DNX10Mid with regards to each of the following:
1 - Power level
2 - Feel of flex
3 - Feel of control during hit
4 - Feel of weight during swing

WOuld appreciate it..

Joachim used to use RDXmid pj with 18x20 strings...
but since his return from shoulder injury uses RDS001 mid pj with
the standard 16x18 strings. Definitely a 90" frame.... could be SRD Tour or RDX or RDS mid.....

So he uses the RDS 001 90 now because it's more friendly against his shoulder? Where did you get that information?

Yes I am. My best weapon is my serve and my attacks.
Do you know if he plays with Mid or Midplus frame?

1 - Power level **n6.1-95 or Slax X1
2 - Feel of flex **Tour10MP Gen2 -but you could look up comparable flex specs
3 - Feel of control during hit ** it's kind of a combo between the loosy goosey low powered control of the c10 or Gen2 and the precision control of the 10VEMid or DNX9 or Prestige..i am having trouble thinking of a frame with that sort of control..it's a bit unique....maybe the Slaz X1
4 - Feel of weight during swing ** if you mean swingweight rather than weight of shot, it's a 325 and would swing like other frames of that swingweight..pehaps the T10Gen1 or the n6.195..it's def a heavier frame

WOuld appreciate it..

somehow seems difficult to do, but see above pls..comparables but certainly not identical..you should look up the specs and see what they compare to for swingweight and flex

Thanks. I know the specs but sometimes the actual feel that you get is different to what the specs tell you, and thats why i asked to compare it to other racquets. unfortunately i only know the wilson n6.1 from what you mentioned. but anyway thanks again for your time.

DNX Mid or MP or Yonex?

MagW,
I think the DNX 10 mid is the better choice over the DNX 10 MP ... at least for my game. I like to hit super hard groundstrokes at times and found the overall feel, large sweet spot and my ability to place the ball with precision, better with the mid than the MP. IMO the MP has a slight "frying pan" feel to it. I tried the Yonex options a while back and found them to play a bit stiffer than I like.

I am going to get a Volkl DNX 10 Mid because that one is most similar to the yonexracket I tested.

i think you will be happen with that one. i've been considering that one as a backup for my Tour 10 VE Mid but not sure if having 2 different racquets will hurt my game. i like playing against a big server cause in my youth breaking serve used to be one of my strengths.

Honestly, the only other frame I think can work for me is the nsix 95. If the DNX mid or nsix 95 doesn't work, I'm playing with a Kramer.
