Washington D.C. gets Serena

According to ABC News, Washington, D.C. is getting a world team tennis team and Serena Williams is going to play singles and doubles!! They showed stock footage of her wearing those black boot-looking things and a black outfit. The news guy was all excited telling everyone that didn't know about WTT to go and google it....
Now I wonder what excuses she'll have for not playing...
hmmmmm.
no, wait.....gets excited...if we're getting a team, who else will be on it?

This is the first I heard of it. I am guessing 16th street, where they play the Legg Mason, will be where they host matches.

Sounds like DC picked up the team that Houston gave up on. Serena will be a Marquee player, and only has to play one or two matches I believe.

Yes I heard this through grapevine last week, Washington KASTLES (wtf?); only question is where will they play. Will 16th & Kennedy let them paint the court there (stadium)?

I doubt the WTT and Legg Mason ticket packages will be related so you will most likely end up needing both.

Few people care about WTT. If it wasn't for Billie Jean King, I doubt the top players would participate in it. Personally I don't like the court colors and the match format.

Legg Mason all the way then. Not many other ATP tournaments offer seating about 15 feet away from top 10 players at $39
