Weight transfer on forehand

For a forehand, I usually step into the shot with my front foot and then swing afterwards. Is that correct or should I step into the ball, transfer the weight to my back foot, and then unload into my front foot again?

What is the difference in torso rotation and weight transfer between a rally forehand and killing a sitter ball?

I notice that when I try to arm the ball more quickly my ball goes high instead of fast.

Many thanks for any responses!

what you are doing is right. beginning from your back foot, you step into the ball, and then hit out in front, and then bring your back foot forward, and you are back in the ready position

in a rally forehand, you have less time to prepare, so based on your own judgement you will rotate your body naturally. on a sitter ball, you can move up to the ball, prepare much longer, and uncoil violently. but dont just arm the sitter ball, you'll end up shanking it
