What is the best volleyer in today's mens tennis?

Let's hear it...

Who do you think it is?

And I don't mean serve n' volley here, just volleys, who is it?

EDIT: "Who is the best volleyer?".... meant to phrase the question otherwise.

Murray, Federer, Stepanek, Tsonga, they're all up there. It's a shame there are no all-time great volleyers in this era though.

Yeah, Stepanek and Tsonga were my choices too. I was just wondering if there are any lower ranked players that stand out in that area...Maybe up and comers?

Tsonga's are good but he doesn't use them nearly enough and also he goes for flashy droppers far too often which get him into trouble. Gasquet and Stepanek I think have the best technique on the volley and are least likely to break down throughout a match - not to mention they come in more than anyone else out there.

Stepanek in my opinion. Tsonga is good but he usually comes in off blistering shots so his ending volley's are easier. Stepanek comes up with amazing volley's from defensive positions.

Top 10 for me.

1.) Gasquet
2.) Stepanek
3.) Llodra
4.) Tsonga
5.) Federer
6.) Ljubicic
7.) Gonzalez
8.) Haas
9.) Lopez
10.) Fish/Murray/Hewitt/Nalbandian

Certainly confirms that 1hbh tends to lead to better net play.

For younger guys Carsten Ball has some nice volleys but doesn't use them enough..

Good list, but I would bump Murray up a bit, probably above Ljubicic.

For Pure gold technique - Roger Federer and either of the Bryan bros. Silver goes to Gasquet.

Just goes to show how the ITF has taken the
volley virtually out of the game by slowing down the surfaces too much.

I don't see a single great volleyer in todays singles game. Stepanek is good but he is no Pat Rafter.

This is going to be an awesome way to spend my first post:

I think the best volley's I've seen came from Ryler DeHeart. Now I realize that's mostly crazy because overall he's not a great player, and in the only match he's been in that was televised he got crused, but still I feel that his volley's were the best part of his game and I remember watching him and thinking to myself, "Wow! Someone who's up at the net putting away volleys, what amazing hands." Just my two cents.
