What NTRP level is this?

SE Asian money tennis, 3.5- low 4.0.
Look bad, hit weak with weird spin, hardly ever miss.
Seen it played at 4.5 levels, but only in 100 degree weather or high swirling winds by fit great movers...not those 2.

lol definitely not 3.5
you should watch the video a bit longer
they seem to have high tennis IQ, experienced match players, just not super great movers, but their shot selection is great/smart
100% would beat guys like Curious

for example, watch the points at 30:33, 31:17, 13:34 or 17:09. Tell me if that's 3.5 level

@Curious stands zero chance, I'd bet $100 on these guys.

Watch the points at 30:33, 31:17, 13:34 or 17:09. Tell me if that's 3.5?

They have good shot selection/anticipation and hardly miss.

Remember, this is tennis played for money, usually pocket change, but easily up to a few days wages.
Most 4.0's would destroy them in normal matches, but add cash money, hot temps or swirling winds, and they become much tougher to dismiss.
Yes, they look worse than most 3.5's.
Average 3.5's can hang in fun matches, but NOT when money get's involved.

When playing matches most 3.5 players just try to hit balls, nothing is in their heads. These guys are different, they hit balls with a purpose. For example point at 34:47, can you imagine a 3.5 player hit shots like these?

If played for money why is the young guy in thongs?

I've played in sandals. Specifically, Keens. Hiking shoe outsole, tight fit, slightly heavier than tennis shoes, but cooler in hot weather. Adaquate traction in you aren't Nadal.

Higher than 3.5? Please. That’s ridiculous.

Have you doubters ever actually played tennis for money?
Like shell out 20 bucks, then play one set?
Your normal hard hitting game disappears...or you lose in 20 minutes.
Pushers, slicers, and oddball hitters play their normal game.
You have to adjust and adapt your game. Unless you play those guys all the time.

Watched a little, 3.5, for one thing because one of them serves from a doubles position while playing singles, another, using your timestamp 13:34, 80% of 4.0 players would put away a couple of those easy floaters the net guy (in pants) was getting fed

3.0 tops. A few apparently outstanding shots do not represent your level. Nor does money make the level higher. It drags it down.

Exactly the point!
Ringers who can volley...not for winners, but to make the other guy RUN, and tap overheads to the open court are NOT your typical 3.0-3.5. 3-3.5's are asking how to volley, and miss overheads by hitting beyond their skill level.
As you agree...playing for your wallet money BRINGS DOWN the level of tennis. Sun hat dude is a money player...maybe 3.5, but can give inexperienced 4.0's some problems.
Of course, an experienced 4.0 would win 6-2.

$20? Um, I mean maybe I would slightly change how I play if it was $2,000? But, anyway, are you their friend or brother or making a movie about tennis hustlers for Netflix?

Most 3.5's are asking...."how to volley".
Sunhat dude is beyond that. Maybe not 4.0, but he can volley, tap overheads, and hit to the open court.
His opponent only hits toward backhand side, so lower rating.

Yeah that's some puffy chest talk....
Have YOU ever played for money?
I've won about $500 max in small tournaments, some college scholarship money for tennis, so yes, sort of. I'm 6'4", I'm smashing the **** out of those net floaters, playing for money or not, my game wouldn't change.

Goofy hat 3.0,
black shirt low 4.0 or maybe a strong 3.5

This was a relatively quick assessment, so I'd be curious how accurate it actually was.

So you haven't.
Even I played "money tournaments". I lost early.
But meeting some dude at the local park and playing for 20 bucks is a whole different animal.
What? You think it's more pressure to play for $20, I wouldn't change my game just because $20 was on the line. I still need to know, why are you so interested in all this, are you in the video or something, is that your dad in the pants? What's going on here really?

I paid entry fees as high as $125 back in the late '70's. Most were $75, still high for then.
Totally different than playing one set for 20 bucks.

literally asian MEP. those will beat tons of "fake" 4.5 on youtube. And might be able to win tons of 4.5 matches. they might have some interesting match play against MEP.

Long pants guy could be my son.
His younger opponent, my grandson.
And he could have his own kids.

I'd guess...

55+ 4.0.
40+ Strong 3.5 or low 4.0
18+ Strong 3.5

As much consistency, there are also a whole lot of UE's on mostly non-driven balls.

Depending on the day though, could be a little lower or higher.

So what are their actual UTR's or NTRP's?
