It's a close call between 2012, 13 and 15.

In all 3 matches, he had chance to beat Djokovic but couldn't sustain his level over the match

2015 isn't even close to 2012 and 2013. I'd put it behind 2010 as well. (the 1/4 final against Nadal was clearly better than any of his 2015 matches)

Honestly thought 2010 Andy would have done it, but at this time he wasn't used to closing out grand slam finals, I really wish he won that one.

intersting ... why do you think he should have won the title ?
Everything was aligned for him.
-Unlike 2012 he wouldn't have to go through Rafa afterwards even if he had beaten Djoker.
-He should have had more confidence then ever, it was the first time he entered a slam as a the reigning major champion (with that title coming over Novak, no less).
-Wawrinka had "made God bleed" in a sense, which should've been an added boost
-His level to start the match was probably higher than any of his other finals, he just couldn't sustain it.

The 2012 semi-final against Djokovic was undoubtedly his best level.

He could and probably should have won the 2013 final given his edge in the 1st 2 sets until he got distracted by that stupid floating feather incident where he completely lost focus.

I just mentioned it. After he won the 1st set tie-break and was poised to win the 2nd he got distracted by a feather floating down in front of him. Everybody laughed but he totally lost focus and allowed things to slip away. Andy can sometimes get distracted and lose focus at crucial moments in matches. It's been an unfortunate weakness of his.

2012 of course, the only year he had some teeth in the match he lost. All other deep runs he either played like crap (2010, 2011, 2016) or flopped after two sets (2013, 2015).

2015 doesn't belong there, IMO. Bagel in the 4th takes the shine off it.

Disagree. After he exchanged tie-breaks with Djokovic he went up a break in the 3rd and was poised to take it. Then Djokovic started limping around the court and took an MTO and that completely threw Murray off his game. As I said in my previous post he has had an unfortunate tendency to get distracted and lose focus especially when playing Djokovic.

It looked for a little while he was in the driver's seat, kinda went back and forth, but actually they were neck and neck overall, and there were no breaks od serve at all in the first 2 sets. Murray saved 5 bps in the 1st, and Djokovic 3 in the 2nd.

After he lost the 2nd the intensity dropped a bit. If he couldn't sustain it for more than 2 sets, how is it that he should've won?

Feather was classic Murray, no comment needed there. Also, unnecessary 5th set in the SF maybe took away something form him. He was in command in the 4th and he let it slip away somehow.

2010 and 2015 were strong well. The Nadal match might be the best match Murray played at AO.

In 2010 hs played a poor tactical match and in 2015 he pretty much went away midway through the 3rd.
Not great in the AO 2010 final but still solid. AO 2015 final was good for like 2.5 sets - 2.75 sets until Murray faded/got tired away but both were excellent in the lead up to the final.

2015 final he was much closer to winning than the scoreline suggests.
He was overpowering Djokovic and then classically got distracted by djokers mind games who acted out but wasn't out.

One Murray got distracted he was just out of the match

Not so sure Murray came that close. Djokovic should won set 1 and Murray set 2 so 1-1 in the first 2 sets was fair.

2013.
My countryman should've absolutely won the title that year.
But his own lack of clutch in tiebreakers against roger cost him extra 1:30-2 hours of grindfest for a match he should have probably won in straight or 4 sets at max. That toll ultimately proved to be crucial in final against nole; especially after losing 2nd set TB.
