I have the Youtek IG Extreme Pro 2.0 and the current Graphene Extreme Pro.

I don't currently use either right now, but when I do, I greatly prefer the IG EP 2.0. It has a more solid feel. The GEP swings lighter than its spec weight, which maybe a plus for some but not me, and it has a more hollow feel.

I have a somewhat sensitive arm and have had no problems with the IG EP 2.0. I think I used it regularly for around 4 months. Note that I don't use poly strings. My setup is nat. gut/syn. gut.

I think the IG EP 2.0 is a very nice racket. The reason I don't use it is mainly because I prefer a slightly heavier racket and not because of its overall playability.

Lead the Pure Drive Roddick up to 12.5 and it is awesome. Most power I have ever seen in a racquet, and that's with a poly string in the upper 50s. Huge sweet spot. I find the 2012 version to be a little more solid than the 2009 version. I usually like my racquets around 13 oz, but with the PDR, I can get away with 12.5. It's got a less head light balance, so that helps.

I have both the IG Extreme Pro 2.0 and new Graphene version. They are both strung with a full bed of the same poly MS Focus Hex at 57.

The IG is a much better model. My biggest disappointment is the lack of power in serving with the GEP; it feels too light. The Graphene feels like it is stiffer and seems a bit more solid feeling, but less feel (kind of dead/dull)

The 2.0 has lots of power and spin available. It is one of the best racquets that I've played with. I used to use Wilson Pro Staffs and six-ones.

I have also been testing the Graphene Radical Pro. A bit heavier and head heavy than either Extreme. Good power and spin, but not quite as good on spin as the 2.0 particularly slicing and serving. It also is not quite as maneuverable, a drawback for defensive shots. Note that the Radical is also strung the same but at 56.

I also have the IG 2.0 and the Graphene Pro. As others have said, the biggest difference is that the Graphene swings lighter. It also has the TK82S pallets like they use on the Speed. Although I haven't done it, I think the Graphene version would be very similar to the 2.0 if you added some lead.

Here's what it would come down to for me-

The IG 2.0 is on sale for $99. Buy it if you don't mind the heavier feel. One of the most common complaints about the IG 2.0 Pro was that it felt a little sluggish. Mine is 11.9 oz / 7 pts HL with 18g string while the Graphene is 11.7 oz. 8 pts HL with 16g string. There would obviously be even more of a difference if they had the same string.

I would only spend the extra money on the Graphene if you wanted the lighter feel or didn't like the typical Head rectangular grip shape of the IG 2.0

I would add that I don't find the 2.0 sluggish at all, but that maybe due tony high swing speed.

Also, the grip is very different between the two. GEP is rounder and bigger than the 2.0. The 3/8 feels like a 1/2, especially compared to the 2.0.

Graphene version = Best pj + wilson grip shape.

Yep, I forgot to mention this.

The Graphene EP paint job is extremely nice, but alas it didn't play as well for me as the IG EP2, which was disappointing.

As a long time Wilson user, I also found the Graphene grip closer to Wilson, but I was able to adjust to the IG EP2 grip pretty easily.

Excellent analysis.

For me, coming from 12oz + rackets, the IG EP2 actually feels very maneuverable (with a solid feel), which is one of the things I really like about it. The Graphene was just too light (and hollow feeling) for me. As you said, the OP should go for the Graphene if he wants the lighter feeling one and/or the more rounded grip shape. And/or the better paint job ! :)

I actually like the original Microgel version of the Extreme Pro the best. I had a few of them at one time because the Head rep brought a few demo sticks by the shop one day and actually gave me two on the side for free. I played around with them from time to time and eventually gave them away. They were really solid sticks and I liked them. The latest versions have been a little too muted for my taste, but they are nice sticks to be sure.

thank you......the same here, my current racquet that i'm trying right now is the ig prestige pro and before that i played with the Microgel prestige mp for 2 years and it was 12.3 oz

I'm trying to find something easier not too demanding but solid and not too light.

I have both versions and like the ig better because of the classic HEad grip shape.. im not into this new rounded shape. And I use the MP over the pro. I pair it with Head Sonic Pro Edge 16 strings. Nice soft to the touch.
