where to add lead tape to increase weight and stability without adding more power

I've got this Head LM Radical that is just way too light. I've been adding lead tape to 3 and 9 o' clock, it's given me a bit more stability but also too much drive and power and shot that were deep are just landing out. Where do you add lead tape to achieve more stability but not more power. I'm trying to make play more like my old pro staff 85 or even my old Ti Radical

if you can handle the weight of the pro staff 85 then it shouldn't be a problem. all you have to do is counterbalance the weight to make the racquet more headlight. if you've only been adding lead at 3 and 9, then your radical is probably head heavy at this point even though it might not weight as much as the pro staff.

how much lead have you added so far?

I've had 3 inches of lead tape at the 3 and 9 o clock. So whatever 6 inches of lead tape is. Wish I had a postal scale

Why not try adding it at the balance point (most likely in the throat area)? Move it up for power, down for control. It might affect its HLness but that's it I think. Good luck.

Your best bet is at 6 o'clock, it should raise your sw a little but not too much to alter your desired feel. Thank you TW

6 o'clock position isn't bad. Best place I think is a strip on both sides of the throat, on the inside.

you should consider balancing it with 6 inches of lead tape in the handle. if you want to add more after that, then definitely go with the 6 o'clock position.

ok thanks for the advice I wish I was still a kid so I could experiment with all the places to put them. Lead tape at the throat sounds good.
