Improve your technique. Roger Federer hits it flat and hard or with a lot of spin with a 90 sq. in racket with a dense stringing pattern. Sampras was able to hit his serves with more spin than anyone using a 85 sq. in racket with a dense stringing pattern. With respect, Tiger Woods can hit a drive 370 yards but you or I will never hit one that far with his driver. With good technique you should be able to get decent spin with any frame, but talking about what Sampras and Federer can do is really not relevant.

Federer uses a wide open string pattern. This list of frames is all over the map designed for different games. You gotta figure out what you like and go for it.

For best of both worlds, dense pattern at lower tension.

To prove what I'm saying, I could generate insane spin with the PK Micro Mid, 22x30, at 35 lbs (or 40 I can't remember) tension. Flat shots come with ease, of course.

Technique is a major contributing factor for sure.

It is absolutely relevant. I don't mean that one can hit exactly like the pros. What I mean is that in the overall scheme of things the racket is not that important.

While I am not a fan, the Dunlop 300 series also fits in the category with the 6.1 series.

So here is how i would describe my style. Am used to hitting with loads of spin but had a hard time hitting winners so i decided to try to hit much flatter but still hit huge spin on demand. I use a full western and sometimes a semi for forehands and eastern for serves and continental for my 2 hand backhand if that helps. Also can generate my own power
