Which will let me hit flat shots but will let me hit lots of spin when needed?? My racket search has narrowed to the head radical pro, speed mp 18 20, speed pro, prestige mp and blx pro tour?

I have a weighted mg radical around the same specs of the mp. do they feel similar and does the speed mp with the 18 20 pattern feel similar??

Improve your technique. Roger Federer hits it flat and hard or with a lot of spin with a 90 sq. in racket with a dense stringing pattern. Sampras was able to hit his serves with more spin than anyone using a 85 sq. in racket with a dense stringing pattern. It may sound like a broken record but improving your technique will help you a lot more than going on the racket-go-round.

While I don't consider a 16x19 pattern dense, I do have to agree with what you're trying to say.

With respect, Tiger Woods can hit a drive 370 yards but you or I will never hit one that far with his driver. With good technique you should be able to get decent spin with any frame, but talking about what Sampras and Federer can do is really not relevant.
OP, you have to demo.

Federer uses a wide open string pattern. This list of frames is all over the map designed for different games. You gotta figure out what you like and go for it.

For best of both worlds, dense pattern at lower tension.

To prove what I'm saying, I could generate insane spin with the PK Micro Mid, 22x30, at 35 lbs (or 40 I can't remember) tension. Flat shots come with ease, of course.

Technique is a major contributing factor for sure.

It is absolutely relevant. I don't mean that one can hit exactly like the pros. What I mean is that in the overall scheme of things the racket is not that important.

Thanks for the input guys. I am going to demo as many of these racquets this weekend. I guess it would have been a lil more helpful to have a video but alas i dont sorry

I feel like a lot of people would say the pure drive line. But the 6.1 wilson line has been one of the most overall balanced in terms of ground game, net game and service.

While I am not a fan, the Dunlop 300 series also fits in the category with the 6.1 series.

So here is how i would describe my style. Am used to hitting with loads of spin but had a hard time hitting winners so i decided to try to hit much flatter but still hit huge spin on demand. I use a full western and sometimes a semi for forehands and eastern for serves and continental for my 2 hand backhand if that helps. Also can generate my own power
