Which side do you prefer to serve to ?
ad court or deuce court?
or doesnt matter to you, equally god or bad from either side?

I been finding easier to serve to the ad side, as my alignment and follow thru seem to be more natural on that side.

With the deuce side, I seem to have to make some unnatural adjustment by aligning sideways and making perceptional adjustment to the backline rather than the sidelines and hitting more slice and less kick.

The ad side allows me to maximize my kick serve against my opponent's backhand ;)
I seem to be a weird case of a player who has a great kick serve but not a reliable slice one. I'm currently trying to get my slice to work better, but it's hard for me, for some reason. The ball seldom goes on a curved path. I guess I can't properly dose the brush and the pronation or something like that.

I like deuce more then ad. Deuce I can slice out wide to the forehand, which is one of my favourite serves ever haha.

Ad. I have a reliable reverse slice I can throw in to go wide to the (righthander's) backhand. Always good for a few cheap points in every match.

I prefer the ad side. I feel like I can hit both corners and mix it up more successfully. Plus it is easier to hit a good kicker to the backhand on a second serve. On the deuce side either the slice out wide is working really well OR the flat bomb up the middle is working well but never BOTH in the same match.

no preference. my favourite serve is either down the middle of the court or straight at my opponent.

That a great observation

I should just accept that rather than force myself to hit corners on the deuce side and frustrate my self more by being "perfect " and hit every corner 3/4 is not bad

Deuce feels more natural to me. Ad used to be the bane of my existence, but I've been working on it a lot. Now the ad court is comfortable (but still not natural).

I find serving on the ad side easier in terms of landing the serves as well the placement I want to achieve.

From coaches studies and observations, a right hander usually has an easier time serving on the ad court where as left handers have an easier time on the deuce court. These cases are usually true for those who have good techniques on the serve meaning if they have good pronation on the delivery. It is easier to turn the hand left to right for a right hander on the ad court whilst for a left hander its right to left on the deuce court.

In match play, longer points tend to happen on the deuce court as first serves are missed more on that side compared to ad court where more first serves land in and therefore shorter points

I have never seen a righty slice wide to the Ad.

How does that "reverse slice" work?

It's definitely easier to hit a second serve to the backhand to the ad side. For first serves, I'd say deuce because as a righty I can pull it way out wide with the slice.

You swing slightly right-to-left, catching the ball at 9:00 o'clock. The ball spins like a lefty slice, out wide to a righty's backhand. I know it sounds more awkward than it really is. Think of a topspin forehand swing, then take it higher, higher, higher until you're hitting above your head. Put some wrist snap into it, and you can totally fake out the receiver with the spin that goes the wrong way. Also works well as a body shot when you aim it slightly left of the receiver, who thinks it's going to his forehand, but it curves into the body.

On days when I can't hit both corners on the deuce side I will mix it up with body serves to keep my 1st serve % up rather than keep going for the 1 corner I am missing. It is easiest to do this when the slice out wide is working because my opponent has to stand further out to return so a body serve will still be on the backhand side, plus it is pretty easy to disguise as it is essentially the same serve just aimed a few feet to the right.

If the flat bomb down the middle is working that day I usually don't have to adjust as much because I have a big serve and the backhand is typically the weaker side anyway. Though I do mix in some topspin slice serves to the forehand to keep them honest. I find with the topspin slice it is very easy to find the corner compared to the true slider. But I take care not to use it much because it is a easier serve to return for most. In mixed doubles though, the slice topspin serve is an ace or unreturned by the woman most of the time.

I LOVE both.

When my flat out wide on the deuce side is working then its perfect, but my ad down the middle can be equally effective.
Both of them but preferebly the deuce

I think my serves on the ad court are better....its easier for me to hit a kicker out wide than to slice it out on the deuce court....I have no problem with down the 'T' on both sides...just sayin...
