Who got their Vantage by now?

I want to post a new post on Vantage order since Feb 8 (their 50% off sale). Since a lot of us bought on that day and Paul promise to ship within 2 weeks, I wonder if any one has receive their order yet?
I also order one package but have not heard anything back yet.

I believe the racquet components are made in China and then put together according to the ordered spec in England. When I bought my last set of Vantage frames, I talked to Paul and his US distributor. My frames were then built in the US. (RacquetMaxx in Al). Even then, it took three weeks to receive.

The raquets are designed in the UK by Paul Angell (Racquetdesign on these boards) he builds up and has molds created per his spec and has a plant fill his orders per his spec and then the parts are assembled back in the UK - At Vantage the orders are fullfilled and shipped - I don't think that is too much different from many other companies but they are not mass producing at the same volume as others - If more time is taken to keep racquet orders within specification then it's a good thing, right - prebuilts are subject to stock but they seem to be shipped faster - I have only ordered the custom models but haven't noticed any unreasonable delays as yet for myself. Sometimes it has taken an extra week but I'm grateful for the attention to detail instead.

But I'm not sure how much was ordered a week ago.

Wait is RacquetMaxx distributing Vantage in the US? I thought they parted ways before. Are they back together?

RacquetMaxx did distribute Vantage, but that was 3 years ago. They have since split, and Vantage does all its dealings directly now through their website.

Got mine yesterday but I'm in the UK as was pointed out to me on another thread. Racquet looks good, feels good, just waiting for it to be strung and should be hitting with it on Saturday!
Top service from Paul, will definitely be back for another at least, and will be recommending to anyone. Thats even before playing with it!

Nick, Your racquet did not come strung?

When I bought mine last time(3 years ago), I was very surprised that they arrive already strung and was expecting them to arrive strung this time as well.

Mine arrived unstrung on Tuesday.

I bought one a year and a half ago that came strung and was sent with a free set of strings as well (plus shipping was included in the price back then and not an extra).

I asked Paul to send it unstrung as I have a friend who does all my racquets just the way I like 'em!
No disrespect to Paul or the Vantage team but i guess I'm a little supersticious!!

I apologize for referring back to my last set of Vantage frames again. When they arrived strung (3 yrs ago), both frame's specs were exactly the same even though they were strung by Vantage. I know the quoted spec are for unstrung frames.

Be patient everyone and you will be rewarded with a wonderful tennis racquet!. I can only speak for me, but the Vantage frames are solid, great, quality frames. For us in the USA, the service is really quite good when one considers the physical distance involved and the time required to assure the frame meets your specification.

From my past experience, the frames will arrive unstrung, unless you requested string and stringing (and paid for it). We are all getting a great value in our sale purchases - and the way the frame plays and feels is like icing on the cake!

Wow I love mine so much, no other brand do anything like I ordered.
Recommend to anyone who is deciding on a racquet but isnt sure, why not demo all the ones on your demo list and get the best of all of them? I did and wow am I impressed.

Mine came today, looks amazing, kind of like a PSC6.1 in form without the PWS and more rounded in the throat area. Swings great. Came unstrung. I got the tournament pack so 2 racquets, bag, 2 string (basically looks like PSGD 17g), 3 overgrips (fake wilson pro lookalike). I also got a t-shirt from Paul for the grip switch (tan to brown).

I'm going to try and string them over the weekend, tension is 50-65 (printed at 6 o'clock on head), I'm going to try the string he sent in them at 58. I'll post pictures Monday if I remember.

No. But no doubt Paul would have given one if asked. Or send him an email asking him for an ETA. I'm sure he's got plenty of time to answer emails though and not get all these orders sorted :)

I talked to Paul yesterday and I think that those of us in the US can expect to see racquets arriving in the next week to two weeks. He's got a large quantity of orders. Be patient, the quality is well worth the wait. I'll post some pics when my stuff gets here on Monday or Tuesday. I'll even photo my other Vantage sticks that I already have.

All three of my vantage are black with red grommets... Ill try and upload some pics. I just got my new one today and it is matched perfectly with my other two. I am so pumped to play with it!

its a website where you can customize racquets to your liking. their choices at the moment are alrite, but could get better. I hope there is improvement.

they cost 221 USD per racquet, but on february 8th every year (as i've heard from racquet_jedi), they have a 50% off sale, bringing it to 110 plus shipping (its from the UK, so shipping is like 22 USD), and overall, thats a pretty good price for a custom racquet

arrived today in san diego. black grommets on black make it look like a racket of death. very nice, love it simple and clean.

good service, emailed them to change the racket bag(got no response but ok as they did exactly as asked) and also asked them not to put the leather on so that i can do it myself as i ordered a size small so that i can build it to my 5/8 grip(only doing for the extra ~15g weight to equal weight of string) so that my stock 12pt HL balance will still be 12pt HL strung. soon to be very HL at ~335g unstrung. yes! :)

ups. only ordered one, was not sure if i wanted to invest much for a couple+ rackets that i've never had a chance to hit w/. unstrung though, it feels very solid. i use PK Redondo Mid but wanted a stiffer racket for doubles play.

They all feel like MW 200G's to me. Doesn't matter what the specs are. They just feel good. I've loved mine and have been playing with Vantage for the past year. I cannot wait to get the three more I ordered. I'll have 5 just a like.
