who uses 1HB on a 100 Headsize racket?

Pure Drive Roddick GT Standard. Larger head-sizes are not a problem for my backhand. However, extended lengths are a problem.

My OHBH is my better side. I used to use POG back in the early 2000's I always wanted to switch to a smaller headsize but I rationalized that I needed the bigger headsize because I like to hit on the rise and not back up off the baseline. I had a layoff of tennis and came back in 2010 and found that there were more 100 sq in rackets.I currently use Vantage 100 and previously used a customized Exo3 Graphite 100. But now my backhand has gotten much better because of the slightly smaller headsize. I never really used to drive my backhand returns but now I can pound it. I see that I can get the forgiveness of an OS but still get the speed of a 93-95 sq. in. head.

Did you use a 1hbh with your graphite? How'd you customize it?

yes I did. I don't use 2 hands ever. I added about 20 grams on thea handle about 6.5 inches from the buttcap. It brough the racket to 5-6 pts HL from 2pts hl..It plays much better because it's more HL. Also I used to string inserts because I wanted more feel but even with those the racket swings easy thru the air...with string and OG my EXO3 graphites are are 350-352 gr...

Cool thanks. I'm coming up with some ideas for customizing my graphite.

I use a PK 7G and love the extended length for OHBH's. When I made the switch I had to consciously focus on being prepared early. Once "I got it", I liked it a lot.

I hit both a 1HBH (for low balls, slices and when stretched wide ) , but hit a 2HBH about 70% of the time.
