Assuming Both Fed & Murray wins their SF encounters, who do u people think will get more support in their potential SF???
Will Murray's views on Scottish independence would affect his support?

Mainly Murray fans, but Fed will have his army of deranged Swiss flag wearing, face painted loons there too.

Of course, he needs to beat Simon first, which may end up being a lot tougher than some people imagine...

Federer doesn't need thousands of Nationalist idiots cheering on opponent's errors and double faults to win matches. His racket is enough and as his previous record shows he is very good at handling situation when crowd is favouring opponent. Crowd support will not be significant factor deciding Federer's level of play. On the other side Murray is taking full advantage of being home favorite. Crowds seems to be loving his obnoxious celebrations on errors but these mind games should be last option for someone who is one of the top favorite for winning tournament. I mean he needed full crowd support just to pass lower ranked opponent like Seppi. Against mentally tough player like Federer, those cheap tricks will not be enough. He should believe more on his racket rather than crowd support. It certainly helps but that doesn't lead you to win matches every time against World's bests. If that was the case then Tsonga, Monfils would be French winners by now.

Dont think so as he's the closet thing the U.K has to a professional tennis player. I think he could moon the Queen while shouting "long live bonny Scotland" and they would still love him if he won. But they love Fed too so i think it would be even.

50-50 I'd say. The crowd would like to see 3 scenarios emerge: Papa Fed to win no.18 and ride into the sunset... Murray winning his 2nd W and under Amelie before she has a baby... and any other scenario as long as Djokovic loses yet another slam final.

It's anyone's guess. Any petulance by Andy might swing it Roger's way, though.

Against anyone else the crowd would be firmly for Murray. Against Federer I expect a neutral crowd. The crowd was not particularly partisan during their 2012 match.

In their only other match at this tournament Federer had the crowd.

Probably be 50 50 and will have nothing to do with Andy's remarks on Scottish independence

Dude's losing slam finals and SFs like it's his sole purpose in life.
He was lucky to escape last year too, I feel the winner of Fed/Andy will take the trophy this time.

I wouldn't mind seeing Novak win though, but I'd just like to see him do it emphatically, like an absolute boss, rather than piddling about (going 7-5 in the fifth with Anderson even before the second week gets going).
Never really been a fan of players squeaking out wins, because often they could have just as easily lost.

AO 2011 was awesome, just Novak leaving the tour in ruins basically.
I was there for that, and even in my youth I could appreciate this tennis machine with a cool haircut cutting down the draw.

Fed did this on the regular, and that's a mark of true greatness.
Come on Novak, prove you deserve that Tier 1 status!
