Why aren't there more live ATP matches on the Tennis Channel?

There are some good ATP tournaments this month, but it seems like none of them are on the Tennis Channel. It seems like all their shows are repeat matches and programs. Where can a person see these matches on TV or computer in the United States?

There are some online channels that stream those. Wait for the night of the matches and folks will have some links for you.

TTC doesn't have rights to all of the tournies. Just wait until the clay season before RG. You'll be loving it!

I agree. They used to do more of this when they first started.

For some reason, they have been hung up on showing the '08 Tennis Channel open, which was one of the most boring tournies I've ever seen.

yeah - TTC doesn't cover all live tennis matches there are - - but i would say, tennis coverage here in the US, especially with TTC, is better than anywhere else in the world. so, i can live with that......they also starts covering all the grandslams in 2009 together with other local networks (i.e. espn, nbc)....

i love TTC.

As others have said, you have to buy the rights, even if you're going to just use someone else's feed.

And I have to assume that TTC has 'done the math' and there just aren't enough eyeballs watching to make it profitable. Which makes you wonder what the tour directors are asking - you'd think they'd want to get on US TV. Guess not...

I would like to see TTC show more of the classic old school tennis matches in these filler times, not the WTA matches that very few are interested in watching. Show more Laver, Borg, Vilas, McEnroe. Also love those specials like the Pancho Gonzales documentary.
