Well since Federer has been injured before in his lifetime too, he can also get injured again. maybe the tennis gods will stop making him believe that he can win it.

That's just an awful thing to say for Nadal,you crossed the line here.It's not much worse than some Nadal fans making threads about how Fed should retire and is finished(a lot of wishful thinking there from them) but you shouldn't wish injury to come to anyone.

Yes, I agree with this; although it's fine to note that some players get injured more often than others, some styles are more prone to injury, etc. But evoking the "tennis gods" does seem to be wishing for injury to befall on someone.
It is unfortunate, but a reality -- and most likely to cotinue to be one if trends continue -- that Nadal has knee issues so often. I attribute it partly to playing style, but also partly to playing too much (where I think his team around him should be exerting more influence, telling him not to play all these minor tournaments).

You assume Federer would now win the French if Nadal is out of the way. That period may well have passed. Djokovic played stronger, more consistent, and much more solid clay court tennis at this years French then Federer did and almost certainly would have straight setted Federer had they played at this years French. Clay does not favor the old, and Federer will find clay the hardest surface to perform as he gets older. There will probably be others on clay in the future to surpass him other then Djokovic

that's a little too bold to say. djokovic plays on clay like most players do now, which is just trying to outhit your opponent. i don't mean to belittle his game in any way, for obviously it is effective, but i believe that federer probably would rather face djokovic in the final than nadal, for djokovic is more easily dispatched by federer than nadal, mainly because nadal's style absolutely crunches federer's weaknesses, largely because of nadal's leftiness, and spininess. but djokovic has neither inherent advantage, which would even the field, allowing federer most likely a much easier time on clay against djokovic than against nadal. but we need a clay match between to two to prove, or disprove, my beliefs.
