why federer 's level was so dropped after 2010 AO ?

he won 11 major at that 04 ~ 07 span and more than 40 title
and he 's level was little dropped at 08 major season
lost at 08 AO SF agianst djokovic
but he had mono at the time
then , he reached all four major in 09 season
won two of them ( 09 RG and 09 wimbledon )

he won 2010 AO
and his major level was total dropped
This wasn't because of Nadal.
lost robin soderling at the 2010 RG QF ( this is first time since that 04 RG that federer did not reach major SF )
and he lost tomas berdych at the 2010 wimbledon QF ( this is the total surpised for me , before 2010 wimbledon he reached 7 time in a row final and won 6 of them )
he lost novak djokovic at the 2010 uso SF ( and novak lost nadal at final )

He had a back injury that he kept quiet for many years. There was also confidence issues and questions whether his time had passed in his own mind. And his play kinda went hand in hand with this.

Some minor health problems. Had a lung infection in Dubai IIRC, then leg injury at Wimbledon. Maybe a loss in focus after #16 as well.
