That's 4. Nole has done it in

Will he reach the final at US Open and then reach 3 finals in 2015?

Unlikely. Will Nadal or Djokovic ever reach all 4 finals in one season for once in their career? Federer, of course, did this 3 times.

Even if Nole makes it 4 years it's not an equal comparison since Federer made 4 slam finals in 2006, 2007 and 2009.

It would be its own record. If Nole reaches 3/4 finals 5 years in a row, it would be a unique achievement.

Fed reaching all 4 finals in 3 different years is a different and also unique accomplishment that shouldn't diminish a different accomplishment.

You can acknowledge someone else's accomplishments without getting insecure about it affecting Fed's legacy you know.

This is the answer

But the OP made a comparison as if those years are all equal when they are not. I mean Nole only won 1 slam in 2012 and 2013 while Federer won 3 slams per year. It's a huge difference, and trying to compare Nole to Federer without proper perspective is to undervalue Federer's achievements.

OP made no comparison about those years being equal. He pointed out a specific unique achievement Nole has a chance to achieve and offered information on what he would have to do to achieve it (reach 5 in a row since Fed has 4 in a row).

You deciding to interpret that as more than what it was and take it is as a direct comparison of the value of those seasons as "undervaluing Federer's achievements" is a perfect example of my point regarding your insecurity regarding his legacy. Otherwise you could just acknowledge it would be a great achievement instead of trying to put it down with a different achievement Federer has that does not relate.

Federer join Laver as the only player in the open era to reach 4 slam finals in a year.

Laver: 1969
Federer: 2006, 2007, 2009

For what? McDonald's? Sure as hell not tennis.

Silly comment. Think about the meaning of words before jumping in. They aren't good but they are hungry.

Raonic is a good example. He wants it, he wants it badly. His tennis just isn't good enough currently.
