Wilson items can’t be shipped abroad?

Permanent. Has been for quite some time. Not the only company which introduced such policies e.g. Babolat, Yonex and others...
That’s very disappointing tbh. If the stuff was available locally I wouldn’t order it from across the globe. Even my RF97 rackets I had to order them from TW because Wilson distributor in my country does not sell them.

It would be against Australian law for a local distributor to do that, so it is more a question of what Wilson allows American retailers/distributors to do.

That may be the issue. Local distributors often have non-compete arrangements to keep other distributors out.

Factories have their own stock in each country and most of the brands are not gonna be shiping products from across the globe because of the costs, i use prince and cant get my things from the usa stock, i have to wait for TTW europe to have them

Last racket I bought was from TW Australia. It shipped without issues but that was a year ago.

You are allowed grey imports, at least in theory, so if the local distributors sell too high then you can buy from overseas sources if you can find them.

When the Australian dollar was high I used to buy my gear from TW America as the prices were far cheaper, but that got stopped from the American end as you've discovered.

As a matter of fact, Australian prices are normally more expensive than TW and the European sister site, but they give sometimes big discounts on certain items. I got my RF97 v.12 really cheap.

Arak,

Unfortunately, those restrictions have been put on us by the companies (like Wilson). This has been in place for about 5+ years now. If we were able to ship to you, we would!

Sorry,
Brittany, TW

Thank you Brittany! That’s what I thought.

Yep, used to do the same for years - got some great bargains BITD when the AUD ruled.
Still LMAO at the Head rep who bragged to me years ago about how Head - him personally  - had stopped grey importing of Head products - especially in my case Intellistring - despite Head not actually selling many of the same items here; needless to say his company has missed out on thousands of dollars of string purchases and none of my clients over intervening years have missed using Head strings.
