I like Kim in 2 or 3 sets. I think the pressure and anxiety of being in your first slam final will be too much for Li. Li is just as classy as Kim, and I wouldn't be mad if she pulls off the upset. She's become one of my favs.

The swining volley is okay and effective at times, but, as with the rest of her game, inconsistent, and you're right, she needs traditional volleys as well.

The overhead is a disaster. I'd say she should hit more traditional volleys where she normally swing volleys (though still swing volley sometimes), and she probably should swing volley where she normally tries to hit an overhead.

The real solution is to develop a semi-reliable overhead.

Clijsters is more likely to win. Li has it in her to beat Clijsters (as we saw in Sydney a couple weeks) but mentally she won't be able to hang with Clijsters given it's her first final and Kim has been to this stage many times.

I'm hoping Clijsters wins, especially after seeing what serena/venus' mom said about her on twitter, but I can't help thinking that Li will be very strong as well. Who knows, but I'm saying Clijsters in 3.

Clijsters also played an awful match in the Sydney final. She would never play like that in a slam final now. Even playing a very good match and not succumbing at all to first slam final jitters would not be enough for Li Na. She needs to play out of her mind to have a chance if Kim is in even fairly good form.

Seriously at this stage of a slam, it should take Serena to have the mental toughness and game to stop Kim now.

2 sets for Kim unless Li miraculously not only doesn't choke but powers up her ki goes into battle rage and goes all out for it like Kim ran over her cat.

If I were Li, I'd just go for broke like Soderling vs Fed. The other way is an almost sure loss anyway.

Kim held to love and broke to love. Li is so nervous. Lost the first 8 points.

Better game by Li. I expect Clijsters to win, but want to see a good match regardless. Li looked really nervous to start, so that game was BIG.

I don't detect one bit of tension in Kim's demeanour or movements. Li on the other hand, I feel nervous just looking at her. Can't imagine the pressure of being told 1.3 billion people are watching you...

If only Li can just drop her tension, she CAN take it to Kim. She isn't being dominated in the baseline rallies at all, but for her errors.

Wild smash from Kim miles out.
