Would love to see Djokovic in the final

Reasoning: When fed is not in it we have gotten a few semi-weird finalists (berdy, soderling). It would be great to see djokovic battling it out with murray or nadal for a title that means something. How often have these guys gotten to play a slam final against each other so we can really evaluate them without federer involved?

I am disappointed too that del potro couldn't come back. Ny would have embraced him. the city loves winners. If it is fed vs a no name or even murray, it would not be that exciting.

Of course, the ultimate is still fed vs nadal.

Fed will likely keep up his end of the deal. It looks like Murray has the better chance of making the final, but who knows.

Djokovic just hasn't impressed me recently. I think he'd make for a lackluster final - he'd be solid, but we'd rely on his opponent to make it an interesting match, Djokovic wouldn't show much.

I'd look forward to Fed vs Murray if Murray could bring a game that could trouble federer. Fed vs Nadal at the USO would of course be amazing.

Murray versus a surprise finalist from Fed's side would be interesting, if the surprise finalist had game and wasn't Djokovic.

Nadal versus anyone but Federer in the final would be boring because I think Nadal would win pretty easily.

Of the top 4 Murray and Fed impressed me the most. I still think Nadal wins this competition though. He will find a way like he did in Wimbly (hopefully a nicer way).

Watching his first couple rounds no way he is beating Federer if they play here. He could even fall to Fish in the 4th round. His only chance of making the final is Federer being upset by Soderling then to pull off good wins over Fish and especialy Soderling himself.

And what is so great about seeing Soderling and Berdych in slam finals anyway. Most people dont like seeing such overmatched players in slam finals, especialy Berdych. As a Nadal fan I enjoyed it only since I could rest easy before the final as I knew he would roll over both. However for the average tennis fan Soderling and Berdych in slam finals too often sucks. 2 of that kind of player in slam finals for the year is more than enough already, albeit Djokovic is a big level up from those two so he wouldnt fall into that category anyway.

I agree. That's what I'm saying. I don't want to see an overmatched player in the final again this year. I want a top player like Djokovic or Murray or Nadal or Fed. No more upsets please

I agree. I hope it is guys from the true elite in the final. I wouldnt mind Djokovic being there or even winning, but I dont think it is in the cards now. His confidence isnt there and hasnt really been there all year, and his game is certainly not at its best now.

The downside of having Nole in the final is that he would have his dipsy family there with his dad wearing thar bizaare sirt with Nole painted on it. It looked as if Nole was sitting on this lap & all that was missing was a soother in Nole's mouth. Anyone fnd a picture of it?

Andy Murray and Federerer are the favorites. Then Nadal and Djokovic.

Djoko is cool; his impromptu exhibition game against McEnroe last year was a lot of fun. I'm glad there are pros like him on the tour.

I think Murray won't have a brain cramp this time, should he make the finals and face Federer. He'll start off strong at the very least. The only question is if he could be mentally strong enough to close the deal should he be in the position to close out Fed.

I'd love to see it, but realistically Djoker will go no further than the SF. Fed doesn't just have his number at this event, he has him on speed dial.

Djokovic has been overmatched by anyone in the top 10 this year. If Fed doesn't get out of that half, I very much hope it's someone like Soderling instead.

If Murray is in the final I wouldn't mind seeing Fish there given that they aren't fond of each other, and Fish would actually have some confidence coming off the back of his wins over Muzza this year to make it a good match.

I just hope it's not another blow out final.

On clay maybe. Doesn't Djoker have a 7-4 record on hard. And don't say half of them were at the end of 2009 while Nadal was injured, cause everyone knows Djoker sucked in 2009 as well. Too bad Nole choked at 2008 Olympics though......

Glad you at least admit this. Fed, for all his talk, isn't going to be around forever. I want to see him go deep as often as possible before he decides to hang it up.

Last night he played a solid match, one worthy of a number 3 in the world.

But he can't change my impression of what he's been playing all year. That disgusting ****.

Federer seems solid, so I'm hoping for another beatdown.

Bwhahaha, right. Can't wait for that final to happen. It's the only reason for being glad that Murray lost (other than liking Stan's backhand :D).
Now Nadal's chances of actually being there for the dance just increased exponentially.
Federer would better not lose in the semi or else I'll kick his arse !

I would love to see the Djoker in the Final and win the whole thing, but he may be the upset of the day today, if he does not wake up ready to battle and prove his worth. Of couse I cheer for him, but he is like a roller coster of the ATP, Up and Down!!!! Very hard to predict when it comes to Nole nowadays.

Actually Djokovic is a better hard court player than Nadal is...at least at their best (until now).
In the future Nadal may (and will) grow as a hard court player, but currently I would take "best day Djokovic" vs "best day Nadal" on hard courts.
