WTA race to Singapore most recent update...

I know how much people on these forums "care" about WTA tour and its players in particular, but still...there is no sign telling - "no WTA discussion allowed on these boards" anywhere sticked, so i'll decide i'll post for those few, who still cares!

The final line-up for the Singapore is - Halep (though might withdraw the last minute and its very likely!), Kerber, Wozniacki, Osaka, Kvitova, Stephens, Svitolina and most recently Pliskova! If Halep withdraws, then Bertens will replace her as one of the alternatives! So there you go! Discuss! I can totally see Halep not recovering in time and withdrawing happening from miles away, so Bertens replacing her is way more likely tbh! Which is sad, because i'm looking forward Halep, but if either Osaka or Wozniacki win this one, they will probably snatch player of the year award from her!

Also wasn't sure where to post it and wherther its considered "spoiler" or not as i couldn't find an appropriate forum section to post this topic anywhere, so excuse me if its out of place and move it to a different section instead! Thanks!

Osaka all the way.

I like Osaka, but Halep is my favorite! Though i gotta admit her most recent results, mixed with her most recent injury probably thrown her off the competition train for player of the year award...realistically speaking! Unless she recovers and wins the title, which at this point is as likely as Murray going double digits slam count imho...

BTW to me this looks like pretty reasonable line-up, considering each's results! Though i was hoping Sabalenka could hop in the last second instead of Pliskova, but oh well maybe next year?

Halep is my second favorite. My favorite didn't make the race even as an alternate... hopefully next year.

I'll be rooting for Halep, if she doesn't play - I guess Stevens but I won't be emotionally invested.

There are 15 threads on this first page for Djoker as GOAT threads. Two year-end WTA threads in the entire forum isn't really going to hurt anyone on the board.

Its gonna be interesting.

My favorites are Osaka, Kvitova, Wozniacki, Stephens.

Halep is injured and might withdraw, Svitolina is totally out of form and Pliskova is Pliskova.

the lineup is worse and worse every year :( women's tennis is so boring lately, I miss the old days.
