G.O.A.T.
To be fair I’m a couple of decades behind on a number of things. I was born in the tiny country of Kuwait, the first decade was between Kuwait and boarding school, before relocating to Canada.
Kuwait was and is quite literally a desert. There was exactly 1 channel on the television and afternoons they’d play Hindhi movies, which is how and why I grew up with some knowledge of Amitabh Bachchan.
We used to travel quite a bit in summers, wherever we went, Africa, Asia, even Europe, everyone knew who he was. They may not have known his name but he was the person they always had in mind when it came to Indian cinema. It is amazing to me all this time to discover he is known in places like China and Korea, even here in the Philippines. Sort of like how people around the world may have Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee in mind for Hong Hong based cinema.
With the videos you put up I’m guessing you’re an 80’s person. Or an early 90’s one. We know INXS wasn’t the greatest band in the world but it is something we cherish for the special place it has in our lives. Nostalgia is fun, doubly so when we can share it with others.
Annie - This should be open, it's civil rights this is the 90's
Flight Attendant 'Stove' - it's not. You're in the wrong decade
Annie - you are
