Isn't that fudged up?

Marin two sets up, groovin' on a Sunny day, people are already commenting (including me) that Cilic could win Wimbledon with the form he's showing, then Federer puts everything into coming back, saving 2+ match points and winning 6-4.

How do you keep wanting to win when you've won everything? Same goes for Serena, now even Djokovic.

Doe that say negative things about the current crop of players? Or does that show that one a million players still exist?

It's called ambition. And what if he wants another one? I'm sure after winning as many titles as he has only he has the right to call it quits on his own career.

All the great ones... only really care about winning so they find ways to dictate and play ttheir ways into things they probably shouldnt win. Think of them as people who like putting together a puzzle... they just wont relent till it is done.

The great ones are pretty relentless... doesnt matter what field.

I think champions with this kind of mentality have to be born. I'm also part of overwhelming majority without such mindset.

But even old Fedr's current arrogance level > Peak arrogance level of youngsters.

Tell that to those two arrogant a-holes Tomic and Krygios. At least Fed has something to be arrogant about, he's the GOAT of the sport. Tomic and Kygios might win one 250 tourney a year and they're in their peak years.

Because he loves his job, and so has never had to work a day in his life.

He also lives to prove the pundits wrong ("too old" etc.)

He was two points away from going out early in 2012 too, by the way.

They're making enough money and content with it. They did not turn their rage towards winning something.

I am not a fan of Federer, but certainly I admire him and his will to fight against odds, age, younger and less injured tennis players. He barely played this year, and when he did it wasn't good. Yet, here he is another Wimbledon semi final. I think it is pure will to win, others should take lessons from him. Deepest respect!
